Keswick is one of the most scenic parts of the Lake District – which in itself is up there with the most scenic parts of the United Kingdom – and in the very heart of the town, you can find Merienda on the Main Street, whose food is about as beautiful as the surroundings. We offer wholesome, uncomplicated food in a homely ambience, and you can enjoy it any time of day, from a quality morning pick-me-up (We are serious about coffee and use quality Merienda's exclusive espresso blend from Darkhouse Coffee Roasters, Keswick) and hearty breakfast, to a range of delicious cakes and filling sandwiches, to a scintillating evening dinner menu accompanied by a range of fine wines and quality beers. Fresh, seasonal ingredients are the focus of a menu filled with British classics and dishes inspired from around the world – reserve a table and head on down.

Stuck in torrential rain at keswick and quickly booked online just hoping for something hot. Well I was really happy with my choice . Great welcome and service throughout especially from the young waitress. Food delicious and good value for money . Definitely go again if I’m up that way .

Seems to have gone downhill compared to visits over the last two years. Food was acceptable but nothing special. Service was patchy and the staff made lots of noise sorting cutlery and grinding coffee beans, to the point we couldn't hear what we were saying. A shame - hope they can pull it back to previous standards.

Nice staff. Took note of my order well. The food for both of us was greasy & oily. We both felt unwell afterwards. Pork burger sickly sweet. Lamb burger was very dense. Shame as it seemed a nice menu

So glad we found this lovely little restaurant in Keswick. The service was attentive, but not rushed, there was a good wine selection, and excellent food. I really enjoyed the ratatouille pasta.

Gorgeous food in a lovely atmosphere. Toilet facilities could be a little better and we thought £10 for three chicken wings was a little expensive but we thoroughly enjoyed our evening. Thank you.

Food was delicious. Ordered crispy wan ton and whole trout and they were perfectly cooked and really tasty. Would definitely recommend booking a table and sampling the food and drink. Was such a lovely culinary surprise, exceeded our expectations. Staff were very attentive too. All round pleasant early evening dinner.
