Painfully long wait time at every step. Took 20 minutes to take a drink order. Took another 20 minutes to deliver the drinks. Ordered food. Waited 45 minutes for food to arrive, but it never arrived. During that time the sever never communicated any issues and never returned to ask if we needed anything or wanted another beverage. After 90 minutes of bread, water, and zero communication we decided to leave. We understand issues can arise, but some communication would have been nice.

We ordered and received our beet appetizer more than promptly. We the waited for about 45 minutes and Michael our waiter appeared and apologized explaining that the kitchen was having issues and hinting that my wife’s scallop order might not be possible due to availability. He did bring a complementary appetizer and 2 glasses of comp wine. Shortly thereafter the scallops and my branzino appeared. The fish was under cooked and not firm enough to flake off the bones. Michael promptly removed it and suggested the scallops which earlier were in limited supply but a dish from another order was poached. Overall the food was very good, the service by Michael superb but by the restaurant awkward Worth a visit as the physical set up is beautiful but be prepared for food preparation issues and do not hesitate to complain!

People came after us and left before us with good service at tables next to us. My food allergies really threw them for a loop and my entree ended up looking like a plate lunch I can get for much less money. I was still charged for the entree described on the menu but had very plain food. Server never once acknowledged how long we waited for everything. We ordered a bottle of wine that they also offer by the glass, but they were out of it. I was very disappointed as I have dined there before and had a much different experience. Don’t know if I will go back.

Michael's service was great. The kitchen was slow - not his fault. The crudo appetizer was excellent as was goddess salad and octopus. The steak was nothing special for $65. Drinks there are a fortune -- not used to paying $27 for a gin martini. Beautiful setting on Hapuna Beach - one of our favorite spots on big island.

We had a 5-star experience at Meredia! We were celebrating both Valentine’s Day and our wedding anniversary. Amazing view of the sunset made for the perfect romantic backdrop. Indiana was our server and her upbeat personality definitely delivered the aloha. We followed her food recommendations, which were tailored to our gluten-free dietary needs, and enjoyed a wonderful meal featuring scallops for my wife and paella for me. Afterwards we shared an absolutely fantastic cheesecake for dessert. Five stars across the board- highly recommended!

My wife and I had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner at Meridia. The date appetizer and her chicken were very good, but my Campache(Amberjack) with Tiger Shrimp and and Ube gnocchi was out of this world. The Spanish cheesecake was excellent, too. The piano music, decor, and service all added up to a memorable Valentine’s Day

Great view of ocean and sunset. Food is tops...couldn't ask for a better meal.. Service was friendly and prompt.

Manager and server were incrediblily hospitable, allowing our friend’s 1 year old to feed the fish at check in, made great food reservations, and created a great experience for all.

Our server Indiana was great and made the whole evening Sunset view were almost perfect. Unfortunate the food was just ok and the cleanliness of the place was palpable. Table top was sunburn, no table set Bread board was dry and split. And the mon rain wind brought smells from the loading dock… not nice. The place is dated and needs a revamp to my opinion. That’s too unfortunate.
