Sweet new restaurant with wonderful French wines. Classic cooking but also modern style. I recommend sablefish and of course the boeuf Bourgeoisie, both excellent! Great cocktails too!

I went to Paris for 20 years in a row on business and stayed at the finest hotels and got to eat at the best restaurants . Lovely memories . I live close to Mereon , on the corner of 19 th and Bellevue . I have visited several times now and enjoyed all . Ben does a great job , I have got to know him well . I will return often with my wife . I am so pleased that you opened several months ago . Kind regards , Philip Theunissen

Our first time at Merèon and certainly will be one of our ‘go-to’ restaurants on the Northshore! Dishes perfectly proportioned so that we even had room for dessert. Smoked Sablefish tender and juicy (don’t you hate over-cooked seafood??!); the Penne a la Truffe flavourful, filling and NOT swimming in sauce. Located just a couple blocks north of Ambleside, it’s a great location to go for a walk along Seawalk or beach after dinner, all year round.

The food was delicious, light and seasonally appropriate for a 30C day. We had our three kids (under 10) with us - who were on their best behaviour, and the staff were great with them. Best of all, our picky children ate well and finished their plates.

My wife attended Mereon Bistro for the first time the other night. It matched and exceeded our expectations of what a good French restaurant should be. We are so delighted that it is in the neighbourhood and that we have found a lovely new French restaurant to frequent. Thank you for such a nice evening.

Delicious food at a reasonable price. Very fresh ingredients. Was a little cold inside but it was a hot day, would recommend a light sweater or shirt.

The heirloom tomatoes were not ripe. This salad should be a special, only offered when tomatoes are good. Otherwise, the food was good. The decoration can be improved.

Food quality is very good, the menu is not huge but well selected to give a great variety. Wine menu the same, not huge but all good value but with a decent range. Layout is nice, simple, not over the top

Took my 95 year old mother for brunch. The food was great. A little noisy to start because of a large group. Nicely decorated and the perfect menu, not too many items! Service was excellent. We will be back. A neighbourhood gem!
