Mercato's has been our go to restaurant for the past 15 years. Celebrating a birthdays, anniversary's or a gathering of family; Mercato's has been the choice. We created a reservation in mid October for my 67 birthday and stated in that reservation, that it was a special event. My wife and I arrived and were taken to a tiny table in an awkward location, with no room to move, stuck between two larger tables. I'm a older man now and so we asked about another table and location, hoping for a window seat. We were told that none were available, even though we made the reservation three weeks earlier. Any other restaurant and we would have left, but we chose a spot at the Bar that offered "elbow room". The food was amazing (as always), service was terrific, the Bartender/server was a delight and we stuffed ourselves. The point being, Mercato's needs to be more accommodating to older patrons making early reservations, who are celebrating a special event, how about a decent table!

Overall a good experience. Noisy busy bistro environment. Steak was cooked perfectly. A bit spendy but delicious.

Love love love the tagliatelle. Must order! Also the bistecca is amazing. I always choose easy salt because there is also sea salt on the side. Amazing food and service!

Always a great experience here. Love the family style share plates. The caprese, rigatoni, bucatini and halibut were especially good. Can’t wait to return.

I have been to Mercato Mission many times over 16 years and this the most disappointing dining (food-wise) experience. The polpo was over cooked and bland. The gnochi bland and hot/spicy. The bistecca was delicious but took too long to serve in relation to other times I ordered it. Asparagus was overcooked. The server recommended the wine that we were looking for - she knows her stuff. I don’t know yet if I will return to Mercato.
