Mercato Italian Kitchen and Bar, located at 690 Main Street South is open daily at 11:30 a.m.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner and features a wide array of pasta, pizzas, salads, and specialty meals.

Mercato Italian Kitchen & Bar is the latest concept and restaurant for Market Hospitality Group (MHG). The interior of the restaurant is comprised of iron and custom glass, reclaimed barn wood and inviting booths to complete the industrial yet rustic feel. Enjoy fresh made individual pizzas cooked in our beautiful twin wood-burning ovens!

Overall, the food and service from our waitress was good. My only complaint is that we had a 6:15 reservation and weren’t seated until 6:45. I understand things happen, but we should have been offered a free drink or something for the wait. UPDATE: The restaurant manager contacted me after my experience, apologized for what happened and sent a gift card as a concession. I really appreciate them making this right and I’ll definitely dine here again.

A great place to bring the grandchildren. They have choices and the food choices range from light to filling and pricey. Good portions. Service last night could have used more smiles but efficient.

Pasta was super salty and strange, sent it back, came worsen and I gave up. We love the mussels appetizer.

Food very good, atmosphere very good. Service very slow, never checked to see if we needed anything or if dinners were good. Server was polite but not attentive at all.

Awful experience. Waited over 1/2 hour to receive our drink and that was after we reminded our waiter. Food arrived after about 45 minutes after ordering and our waiter never returned for new drink order. When food arrived, fettuccine my husband ordered was watery, flavorless and my chicken parm had zero flavor too and was ice cold. Sent it back to receive hot flavorless chicken. Really unfortunate since this restaurant has nice ambience but is expensive for horrible food and service. Go to McDonalds instead!
