Service was initially a little nervous. Understandable for a newly opened place, but very warm and genuine. Always good knowing you were expected. It did look like a couple of the owners were perched overseeing proceedings. I wonder if it made staff a little uneasy under constant supervision but that didn't detract from the experience. The menu was a little confusing - a minimum of two courses? What if I wanted one dish and a bottle of wine. At least one other party who arrived that evening looked similarly confused. Wine was reasonably priced for a venue aspiring to higher end food, at middle to higher end pricing. It is costly running a small business we know that. I hope they can retain staff. Could not fault our choice from the menu. Served with high professionalism. Very much appreciated. Coupled with new art on the wall it was a very enjoyable experience. It's hard running a restaurant and starting a new one is harder. The marks on the seating near the far wall probably need to be dealt with as I would imagine some patrons would not be keen to sit with a new outfit. I'll go back.

If you were a fan of 97 ( the previous restaurant) you’ll love Mems. It’s a very similar set up and dare I say it the food was even more delicious. Lovely little touches such as a strawberry Prosecco to start. We have also visited restaurants where they ask if it is a special occasion and then there is no recognition. At Mems we were offered a complimentary glass of Prosecco. This was very much appreciated. The waiters were great, the food was sublime. We will be returning. Thanks to all

A strong competitor in Surbiton, this restaurant left us thoroughly impressed, though we understand there might still be room for improvement as it finds its footing. The service was attentive and professional; the amuse bouche was delivered promptly with a delightful explanation, adding to the anticipation of our starters. They gave us petits fours with the bill, which made us feel well taken care of. The venison carpaccio starter was perfectly balanced, showcasing the chef's skill. Our main courses, especially the lamb, arrived hot and on warm plates, maintaining their ideal temperature. The lamb was beautifully presented and perfectly rested, showing careful preparation. The dessert, a summer berries millefeuille, was simply delicious and left us wanting more. The staff took care of us really well throughout our visit. We look forward to returning and seeing this promising restaurant continue to thrive.

Food was fantastic but service less so. When we arrived they obviously weren’t expecting us and no table ready. This left them a bit flustered and didn’t know what to do, after standing there for about 5 minutes we were offered a seat at the bar whilst we waited. After about 10minutes we were seated, which was fine. 10 minutes later were asked for drinks orders but hadn’t been given drinks menus. Ordered drinks which arrived and then food. Whilst waiting for the starter everyone else seemed to have been offered an amuse bouche which we didn’t get. Started arrived and asked about this, it then arrived part the way through the starter. Starter and main course lovely, we then had dessert, again lovely. After which everyone else in the restaurant was served a strawberry drink which we weren’t offered. Asked for the bill and asked about the drink so then got served it. We were celebrating our anniversary and had a lovely meal but it felt everyone else in the restaurant had a different level of service than we did. The couple next to us had seamless service whilst we felt largely forgotten.

The ambiance and decor are amazing. The cocktails are stunning. The service is impeccable and always go the extra mile for you. And the food? The food is outstanding! They’re on the way to a Michelin star, no doubt about it. My dad and I will definitely be back. Thank you for such a great night!

Overall we were disappointed but this may be due to teething problems. Service was unprofessional eg the amuse bouche arrived without any explanation as we were half way through our starters and we had to ask for the petits fours other diners were given. As far as the food was concerned several items on the menu were not available and ingredients mentioned had been omitted by the kitchen on one of our identical starters but included on the other. Both of the main courses were tepid possibly because of being served on cold plates. The duck was not attractively served and had not been sufficiently rested. But our one dessert was very good. We shall come again to see if things have settled down as it is good to have another local restaurant.
