Like many we came for the gloss of an old fashion steak house lounge. Food was good and traditionally prepared. However, servers all seemed burdened with too many tables, rushing about in beleaguered fashion. Made it feel very assembly line like and given pricing that is a basic failure. More disturbing was served wined with multiply chipped rim and when I pointed this out to maitre de, he replied, with no concern, that he had ordered new ones but they had not yet arrived. Finally, waiter exchanged for non chipped one, although the proper response would have been to replace with a new bottle. And last charging to park when there are no other options seems cheap/charm draining. We recommend skipping this place.

The food was great, ambience was great and the service great. Our server, Daniel, was outstanding. Great experience. This restaurant has become our family special events place.

Four course meal advertised for NYE was only three courses. Appetizer, entree, and dessert.

In a word our experience at Melvyn’s was awful. It was billed as a New Year’s Eve extravaganza yet it turned out to be anything but. They claimed to have live music and there was no music. They had a lounge, which looked more like a funeral parlor. We arrived at 9:00 and anticipated going out afterwards but it took 21/2 hours to serve an appetizer, entree and dessert. The New Year’s event was billed as a price fix dinner for $225 per person yet many items had an up charge. With the meal and 2 cocktails each dinner for 2 cost more than 700. All of the dishes were mediocre. We really liked our waiter who repeatedly apologized for how slow the service was. We would not recommend Melvyn’s to anyone; its time has clearly come and gone.

Incredible food, excellent service. My wife and I went for the early-bird NYE special and it was a great experience.

Just a fantastic experience overall. There is nothing that I would change. My Manhattan cocktail was one of the best that I've ever had, as was my chicken potpie. The Brussel sprouts were another highlight. And, my dinning guest had the pasta and it also was very good.

Overall a good experience as before. Always love dining at Melvyn's. Was surprised to see a 5% wellness surcharge automatically added to the check. Have not seen that anywhere else in PS. Also, would prefer if they went back to their old dress code. Did not enjoy seeing men in cut off denim shorts and sleeveless t-shirts for dinner on a special occasion

Melvyn's has terrific food, but what sets it apart is its service. Our waiter, Peter, made the evening special, providing recommendations and being available at exactly the right times. His preparation of the Bananas Foster was memorable. It wasn't an inexpensive evening, but it was more than worth it.
