The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

Thomas H was gracious & solicitous host. Both our cocktails were great. Mine was flavorful best Manhattan I've ever had. Charred Baby Gem dressing with Manouri Cheese, Lemon Confit, Pistachio Pesto, Pickled Mustard Seeds was delicious. Tuna & especially Beef Tartare was superb. Fluke & Halibut were perfectly cooked, tender, juicy with delicious accompanying sides. Used the light crusty bread to wipe all the plates clean. All dishes were generous servings so we couldn't try the desserts. But fished the wonderful dinner with frothy espresso martini. Will have to go back for the Lamb Neck ‘Kleftiko'.

Another terrific dinner at Melina. Bread service, eggplant, and portobello souvlaki were delicious. Service very good. We will definitely return.

1st visit and looking forward to repeating. We were 4 people and shared 5 mezze and got the bread plate. It was enough food without feeling overly full. More items I want to try. Delicious cocktails and tasty bread. Enjoyed every dish and can’t identify a favorite.

Food was stellar. Service was prompt and atmosphere was inviting , lively but not too loud. Highly recommend. Both tartare’s were excellent and the sourdough pita was one of the best things I’ve put in my mouth.

We sat outside and it was delightful outside. The food was terrific we had the halibut and grilled octopus the bread of the day. So yum. Our waiter was terrific.

Terrific food, great service. Tuna crudo and grilled octopus both outstanding appetizers. Excellent roasted cod with almond paste sauce, and the slow roasted lamb neck was the best lamb I've had in a long time. Creative menu, superbly realized and beautifully presented. Will definitely be back.

Great place! A really good variety of food and drinks. A lot of vegetarian options. The cocktails are totally unique in flavors and delicious. The service is professional and super friendly.
