The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

    We have never had a bad meal here. Last night the restaurant was opened up to flow into the patio- what a nice ambiance. Open kitchen is fun, cocktails are creative and service is top notch!

    Not the greatest menu for vegetarians. I didn’t think it had a diverse enough menu for them. Too much solely focused on cheese and carb.

    Night was good staff was good. I wish I could have gotten the seat I requested but overall everything was good. And my date enjoyed herself as well

    Another great meal at Melina. We were able to sit outside, where it was overall quieter than inside, although with some occasional automobile noise. The service is prompt and professional, and the food, as always, is excellent. Two of us enjoyed the shrimp cavatelli, and the short rib entree, preceded by a wonderful fresh tomato and pickled strawberry salad, and followed by the indulgent Greek donut dessert. We'll be back.

    We were kind of blown away by the food. everything was so fresh and delicious that we forgot to talk about all the things we met to talk about. What a wonderful surprise! Excellent service also.

    Lovely setting, but very loud. Hard to hear conversation across the table. Food was amazing!! Every item we tried was excellent. Portions are not huge and itis pricey, but, in my opinion, worth it. Each dish was tasty and creative. Definitely not your run of the mill Greek fare. Each item showcased something unusual -- in a good way. Would highly recommend Melina's.
