The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Greek cuisine is all about freshness and quality of ingredients and that will be on display in a fine casual setting.

The taste of dishes across the board from appetizers to desserts were disappointing and bland. Expected more based on ambience and prices. I’m talking on behalf of 5 of us.

Interesting menu. Food was well prepared and quite tasty- the shrimp cavatelli and the skewered mushroom were excellent as was the octopus. Nice selection of Greek wines. We have been there before and will certainly come back.

Loved the whole experience! The food was amazing and meant to be shared. The server took his time to explain the menu and the food we ordered. It’s started drizzling and we were seated outside, the hostess immediately came outside and moved an umbrella over to our table. The Greek doughnuts we had for dessert were amazing the combination of the honey, ice cream and walnuts really made it over the top. I found myself scrapping my plate that’s how much I loved it.

It was my second time there and just as wonderful as the first! The service was terrific, and the food was absolutely delicious.

The service was incredible… We had a lot of attention from our waiter… Ungortubately we got our main course, the fish was undercooked, but the restaurant was very gracious and did not charge us for it. Everything else we tastedwas interesting and unique and delicious. the small plates and appetizers are amazing.

We had good service and delicious food last night. The gem salad was unusual and tasty. Other dishes were the grilled octopus, crab pasta, short ribs, and a super dessert with ice cream. The only downside was the noise level. It was difficult to hear our companions without shouting. Some sort of sound proofing is sorely needed.

Whether you go for brunch, lunch, or dinner, Melina always keeps you wanting more. Not only are their staff polite and attentive, the food and drinks are divine.

First time at Melina and will definitely go back. Service was great, very friendly staff. Food was excellent and very creative.
