Nobody offered to take our coats. One glass of champagne was flat / served from nearly empty bottle. Loud and disruptive couple sere sat next to us and caused unease. Food was ok but not great.

Dear Ross, I'm so sorry to hear that your recent visit to Mei Ume did not meet your expectations. My sincere apologies that nobody offered to take your coat when you arrived. This is highly unusual, and I believe this may have been due to one of our colleagues covering the host stand when you arrived whilst our usual host was assisting another guest. I'm also sorry to hear that the Champagne was flat, and that the couple next to you were loud and disruptive. We do encourage you to raise issues such as this next time, to give us a chance to rectify the issues immediately. We'd really like to turn this experience around for you, to restore your faith in Mei Ume. Four seasons level service and food and pricing. Would go back and order less fried food and maybe try the sushi. Well done!
