Meet the Meat is a steakhouse located in the heart of Astoria. Using the finest quality meats we prepare a variety of cuts such as filet mignon, porter house, ribeye , prime sirloin, and sliced steak. Our specialty is steaks, but we also serve a selection of other fine dishes such as lamb chops, grilled chicken breast, salmon, branzino, as well as burgers and pasta options.

It's our goal to grill the most delectable steaks in Astoria with a commitment to freshness and flavor in every bite. Your complete satisfaction is our top priority here at Meet the Meat. We arrived a few minutes and had about a 20 minute wait, it was mostly packed for NYE, but staff were so welcoming, friendly and prompt about updates with our table, so we didn't mind the wait and sat at the bar, which gave us time to decide our meals. The staff even hung my coat for me and it was nice and warm indoors on the rainy night. We ordered Stella & Malbec to start, and the Porterhouse for 2, with Mashed potatoes & asparagus for our sides. The staff was knowledgeable about the menu, provided us with warm, garlicky toasted bread & butter while our meals were cooking. We had a short wait of about 25-30 min for our meal to come out and when it did, it was beautifully cooked to our preference of Medium, so juicy, perfectly charred and flavored! I didn't need any sauce or seasonings but just a light tap of salt (probably didn't even need the salt at all!). We finished the portion. The mashed potatoes were classic and fluffy and asparagus was also juicy and buttery. Everything was just what we wanted. Friendly staff who were knowledgeable about the menu and polite. Also fairly priced and not outrageous as you would find in the city or gentrified neighborhoods of BK. We didn't have room for dessert but looking forward to dining here again!

First - thank you for being open on Christmas evening. The setting was fantastic for our family of 6. The service was warm, welcoming and top notch. Just before we were seated, a large group was leaving and they all were raving about the food. They were so correct the food was perfect. Thanks for making our family time special.

Owner is excellent always checks to make sure everything is going well. Food is prepared to customers request and was delicious. Everyone in the group enjoyed their apps and entrees as well as drinks. We will definitely be back

I love this restaurant; it never disappoints. My husband is a big fan of the steak here. The food is always fresh, and the price is worth every bite. If you’re considering dining here, I recommend reviewing the menu beforehand. That way, you’ll have an idea of what to expect. Though it can be pricey, it’s worth it!

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday, and the experience was incredible. The staff went above and beyond, even bringing out a candle and singing happy birthday. The steak was cooked perfectly, the mashed potatoes were amazing, and the tiramisu was the perfect finish to a great meal. Highly recommend!

Biggest and best steaks I’ve had out of all steak houses in NYC. Best bang for your buck, the drinks and staff are amazing. Highly recommend !
