A Diner's Choice Award winner for the last 12 years! Legendary Medium Rare offers a unique, prix fixe dining experience of artisan bread; a mixed green salad; prime, dry-aged steak (with our secret sauce); and hand-cut fries (Vegetarian option always available) in a relaxed, fun, environment. Please allow us 15 minutes to seat you after your full party has arrived and after checkin at our host stand. As we do only one thing, we do our best to make the food and experience exceptional and also a good value. We also serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday's with a great bottomless prix fixe including French Toast, Steak and Eggs, Eggs Benedict and Bloody Marys, Mimosas and Screwdrivers.

The beef was perfectly seasoned and cooked to the perfect temperature! (I like medium-rare). The bread and butter was fantastic, and the salad was dressed nice, and very tasty!

Its a place I would recommend to go to for everyone. If you really like it go again. Its a limited menu and fun staff and great drinks..

This place is treasure for great food and service when you are in the mood for not so heavy/dreary steak dinner. Atmosphere is happy and light. Wait staff cheerful and fun. All the food is super tasty and well prepared. Includes rustic bread with crunchy crust, soft interior and Irish butter. Perfect. (And I am hard to please on bread!) Salad is field greens, cherry tomatoes and just the right amount of great tasting dressing. I was concerned about the Coulotte steak being fatty or tough since I have not had one before and neither was the case. It was tender, delicious and no visible fat, 100% edible. Also, cooked to medium rare as ordered. French fries were crispy, salted just right and a bit of skin on some. It was a perfect plate dinner. After finishing bread, salad, and steak frites, we were full and looking at desert choices. Before we could order desert, they brought a second helping of steak frites as big as the first plate!! This was a total surprise. What fun! but we asked for go-boxes for the second plate and ordered desert. For desert, we split and apple pie a la mode. The pie was great tasting, but crust was a bit soft and should have been crisper. Overall, I would rate Medium Rare very high for great casual food and tops for service, fun and value.

Food was on point but way understaffed it happens, our waitress explained that it was going to be delayed but we enjoyed overall We’ll be back

I recently visited Medium Rare and had a very disappointing experience. The hostess was extremely unprofessional and seemed like she needed additional training. My reservation was at 2:30 PM, but I wasn’t seated until after 3:10 PM. During this time, multiple people who came in after me were seated before me, despite there being open tables. The issue? The tables weren’t cleaned in a timely manner. I asked to speak to the manager twice, but when he finally came over, he was incredibly rude. This was shocking, as I had hoped they would provide some resolution or at least a better attitude. On a positive note, my server was kind and made an effort to salvage the experience despite the poor service from the rest of the staff. The food was just okay—nothing special, though I did enjoy the gravy. Another issue was that although I arrived before brunch hours ended, by 3:00 PM, the staff informed everyone they were no longer serving brunch because they ran out of food. This was incredibly disappointing and showed how unprepared the restaurant was. Overall, I’m unsure if I’d return. The poor service and lack of organization overshadowed the decent food. Medium Rare needs to address its staffing and preparation issues to improve its customer experience.

waited 30 minutes to be sat(with a reservation) and another 30 minutes just to get water. after putting in our orders we waited another 20 minute for us to be told to be told they were out of brunch entrees and starters. just left after that.

We waited over 40 min to be seated when we had a reservation. 3 different waitresses cried because there was no organization to anything which left them as well as patrons overwhelmed. Sat at our table for two hours and never got our food. We saw the long lines so we made sure to order quickly and nothing ever arrived. Left foodless and disappointed.

Skip this over hyped new Midtown tenant . Unfortunately, a disappointing experience all the way around . Waited 1:45 min for food , bottomless brunch drinks a hoax ( waitress never came back for refills - not even water - finally went up to the lackluster bar and ordered bad wine ) . Half the table finished their cold entree( steak frites ) by the time the other half got theirs( French toast ) . Bussed our own table in anticipation for the entrees . No dessert offered . Even if we did want some - we didn’t have time for a sleepover to get it . Many tables around us just left their cold food on the table and walked out . Sad to say all this as it looked like a good/ fun concept - just poorly executed by lack of staff, a kitchen in the weeds and a line out the door waiting( folks in line had reservations and had been waiting to be seated 1.5 hours later . ) Maybe wait a few months - if they last - and let them iron out the kinks . Ya had one job - steak and potatoes. What could go wrong ??

Just a heads up: even with a reservation there might still be a bit of a wait (20-25 minutes for us) but it was a Saturday and we were able to sit outside immediately. It was a nice night. We didn’t have a waiter bit the manager was more than happy to take care of us, and he did so very well. What an interesting concept; the only thing you had to decide was what temperature you wanted your steak (the obvious is Medium Rare) and drinks… the also had a dessert menu that had lots of delicious looking choices but we didn’t partake. The Bazooka bubblegum with the check was a fun surprise as well… definitely on my list to go back to!
