I love Medicine and frequent the Codsall location. I have always been impressed with the variety of gluten free choices. However the Wolves City centre location was let down. I came with a large group of about 10 people-3 of which are Celiacs so must only get gluten free-we were told that chef does not do gluten free which was a bit of a shock considering this has never been an issue at the Codsall location and we were offered no alternatives. this visit was a complete letdown

We got into the bakery and asked if we needed to wait to be seated. We were told we could sit anywhere. We were sitting for around 10 minutes, I asked the waiter if we needed to go up and order or is it table service as we weren’t told. They said we needed to order at the till. The drinks took a while to come as well. The food was lovely when it came. It took us a while to find as there isn’t any signage around until you actually get into the building. The building itself is beautiful and has a lot of character. I would visit again and hopefully the service will be a bit friendly.

Used to love this branch and used it pretty regularly but it’s severely gone down hill. Extremely slow service, even though it was Father’s Day so that was to be expected. Drinks served from plastic cups (they never used to be), the coffee machine was broken, they no longer serve a Bloody Mary and I had to wait over an hour for a sandwich. My partners came out 15 minutes before mine and she had to eat it whilst I waited. We had to ask for cutlery for the table (as did a few tables around us who were then given dirty cutlery). A real shame as it used to be a brilliant place for brunch. The staff were very apologetic but unfortunately we won’t be returning.

We now operate our Wolverhampton Bakery HQ as 'Grab and Go' site with a condensed menu available on weekends, rather than our full brunch service. This also explains why we've switched to disposable cups and have adapted our menus. Had to wait over half an hour for food and the place was really quiet. I ordered the Avocado Tartine and there was no dukkha or radish ceviche on there and the poached eggs were hard! My friend ordered the streaky bacon on sourdough with a poached egg. Her egg was hard, toast cold and unbuttered and bacon was cold, hard and over cooked. She was unable to eat it. We were so disappointed as had been looking forward to dining here for a long time and had booked before going to the theatre. The food was expensive and we were expecting good quality food. We’re so disappointed with slow service and bad food! To add insult to injury the hot drinks were served in paper cups!

Relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, good food, quick service - all made for a lovely weekday brunch to say farewell to a colleague.

We are very sorry to hear that you did not enjoy your recent visit - unfortunately, as our Bakery outlet is in an open plan building, it can get very cold inside during the Winter months, even with our heaters on. For this reason, we would advise it is more suited for takeaways - as we've now highlighted on our website. Alternatively, our Codsall cafe is only a short drive if are looking to dine in. The venue was inside an old building and was extremely cold. Even the waitresses were shivering while servicing us. The service was extremely slow. We had to get up and go and grab a waitress to take our order. When we wanted to pay the bill at the end, no one came to the table so we had to get up and walk to the counter. Where again there was a long wait.

I’ve previously eaten here on a Saturday, where there has been table service. Whether things have changed or it’s just being mid week, it was v. Poorly staffed. There Was only one person to both run the takeaway counter, take orders and wait on I had the buttermilk chicken on brioche, I asked for no mayo. When served I had to return because there was mayo on it. Because of lack of staff you end up eating surrounded by dirty tables as there is no one available to clear them. For this kind of service, the price point on the menu is too high! And although food is ok, the price point also exceeds its worth. I think the staff there do the best they can, and any apparent issues appear to be through poor management.

Disappointing, we’ve visited once before and thought it was ok, however this time part of the order was wrong and when it arrived the chicken was pink and looked revolting. Also orders was a ramped and poached eggs which went cold within seconds as it was freezing in there, even though we asked for the heater. Bought my son a donut on the way out to make up for his awful meal and copped a whopping £39 bill for the pleasure. Shame, we won’t be returning .
