Medicine was born out of a discovery of abandoned space, of new possibilities and an inquisitive quality for creating something vital and diverse. An artisan bakery and kitchen, café and gallery, which is rooted in its heritage in both Birmingham and Wolverhampton, Medicine represents a new format of social space. It finds its niche through a carefully curated menu of ethical products, whilst offering a daily fix of cultural inspiration in an environment which promotes a debate about art and culture. Had a bit of a wait for a booked table, which wasn't great as we were were booked at theatre. Crowded waiting area on entry and were pushed out despite saying a table had been booked. Managed to get to the table seating area and told them about booking Kept being told 'yes yes we'll find you'. Could see they were trying to juggle reservations and those queuing to get in. Looked flustered. After we were seated the service and food was good. Just needs more structure at front desk to provide a great experience.

There were 7 people for lunch today. Some food was okay, some wasn’t. The Buddha bowl came without falafels and very little avocado. The rest of the mains were okay. We moved onto cakes which were pretty dire. One had a cinnamon pastry which was so dry that we had to send it back. It was replaced by another which was also dry. We then had to ask several times for coffees before they eventually arrived. We wanted our coffees with our cake. It arrived long after. Our table was never cleared from main meal before we had cake and coffee. Although the staff were all very pleasant they seemed to lack direction and I think this was because nobody seemed to be in charge Come on Medicine, a beautiful setting but the food was not up to standard or the service.

Lovely breakfast, great service, lovely venue - cannot fault it at all we had a lovely brunch and thought the prices were very reasonable. Thank you !

Great food and good service. However there was only 1 toilet and it was not very hygienic. It had been block for sometime unnoticed by the staff.

Lovley, although the acoustic makes it difficult to hear when the place is full. But that can’t be helped. Lovley food, attentive service.

Service was really poor, staff were rude and our meals were incomplete; Key items left off of dishes and poor assistance when asked.

We had a lovely breakfast at Medicine. We were able to show up and eat earlier than our table had been booked which was great (we showed up at 9 rather than 9:45 am) and the restaurant was unusually quiet. Our food was really lovely as usual, my husband had never been before and he loved his breakfast. My only more negative comment is that the poached eggs were almost solid and they really shouldn't be. I realise that poached eggs are difficult to get perfect but this was not the first time and it really should have been better. Nevertheless we ate everything and enjoyed it.
