Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

The food was excellent. The service only ok. I think they don't have enough servers, or they're not assigning them evenly or something. Our server was great when she was with us - but that was rare as she seemed to be serving way too many tables.

We were supposed to have gone on our anniversary but a minor accident delayed it by a day. The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. The food was spectacular- my filet, wedge salad, asparagus and the pistachio crème brûlée was to die for. We’ll be back. Thanks to the staff for a memorable meal.

It’s the perfect steak place … it has great meat selection, flavorful steak and attentive but not pushy service. 10/10… worth a drop in when in Santa Monica

60 day, dry aged 37oz Ribeye was awesome, steak was more rare than medium rare but everything was great. Cheesecake was perfect,

Food was average for the amount charged My Rib Eye steak was tough and chewy Fillet Mignon was way undercooked and had to be sent back Lobster tail was very bland A very disappointing experience considering I had booked this from Australia and was looking forward to a culinary experience. The asparagus and Mac and cheese were good as was the bread Will never return, nor will I recommend this restaurant to anyone. Way overpriced and below par food and then I have to pay 20% gratuity. Absolute joke

this experience did not disappoint in the slightest. my husband and i booked a reservation to celebrate our anniversary and we were seated in Maxwell's section. he is a delight! informative, friendly service and his selections/menu favorites were spot on delicious. the best part of this experience had to be the steak (sorry max) the quality, flavor, and texture of the steak here is bar none. my husband ordered the filet with peppercorn sauce and a sauce trio on the side. best steak we've ever had. thank you max for helping us have the best experience possible to celebrate our anniversary!

Took my best friend out for her birthday. We were sat right away on the patio, just in time for the sunset. We ordered their butcher bread and a dozen oysters. Then I got the surf and turf and she got an 8 oz filet and we shared the Mac and cheese. Service was excellent, food came out hot and cooked perfectly. We had the bread pudding for dessert. We don’t drink but we had mocktails. I had the Broadway and she had the margarita verde. Both excellent! Management came by to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and Max was our server! He was great, checked up on us a few times and made good conversation. Will def be returning!

I ordered the 60 dry aged ribeye, it came out way under and was not seasoned. That explains all the sauces they push for the steak. We will never go back.
