Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

Wonderful to enjoy a nice meal sitting along the Santa Monica coastline and this was my second visit to Meat on Ocean. I will return!

Food was great. The only complaint is the creme brûlée with chocolate top was so bad. Would have been fine without that top

Phenomenal experience from the moment we got there until we left. My wife and I had ordered the butchers bread (10/10 especially with their goat cheese fig spread), the Vancouver half dozen oyster (9/10 delicious and definitely wish we did the full dozen sampler but still delicious), then we had the surf and turf as the main as well as the rack of lamb and hands down both my wife and I agree the rack was something we will order every single time 100/10 would dine again tonight

Service was as good as the fabulous food. I’m very picky about steak and exceeded expectations!

They only serve the steak by itself. No sides at all. Everything is an extra add on, even sauce on your steak is extra $$.

Amazing steaks, we had the Tasmanian grass fed ribeye as well as the 45-days aged bone-in ribeye, both delicious. Our server Valentina was very good and added to the fun dining expereince.

Food was great. Obviously, a little pricey but that’s what you pay for great food. Waiter was very friendly and even charged my phone because it was about to die. Overall, very much worth the money spent.

Service was awful. It took more than 15 mins for us to be acknowledged after being seated and then another 10 mins to get water. Our waiter never came and took our order, the manager had to come take it for us. When the server did eventually come around, he forgot to bring my drink - a whiskey on the rocks. By the time I got my drink, it was significantly watered down so you could tell it had been sitting by the bar for awhile. I also put in the reservation notes that we were there celebrating a birthday (my 4 year old son) and that was never acknowledged. My son was very excited for us to sing Happy Birthday to him, but by the time we would have ordered dessert, we just wanted to get out of there after the awful service. We ended up going for dessert elsewhere. We have been here several times, and this will probably be our last.
