Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

It’s set up like an Old school high end steakhouse before the good ones were corporately bought. The only things it was missing was the maître D to be dressed up in suit/tux with waiters and waitresses dressed accordingly as well. I was hoping to have a table side presentation of the steak menu. The cheese display case was very nice touch. Overall excellent experience. Beautiful views of the ocean. Open doors and outdoor seating was perfect for the evening breeze and watching the sunset. Outdoors heaters were placed perfectly so my wife was not uncomfortable.

Absolutely amazing!!! Our first time and exceeded expectations. All the staff and especially our waiter is incredible! Thank you for a wonderful way to celebrate my husband’s birthday!

Menu was excellent and the service was great. The ambiance was very cool for a steak house. The large center bar looks like a fun place.

Dinner was excellent, we ordered a 37 oz ribeye and it was plenty for 4, cooked perfectly and great flavor. Our server was kind, knowledgeable and efficient. Our table had a great view which was nice but also noisy from the street.

Had a double date here and my friends had a great time. Steak was top notch. Got the octopus for appetizers, sides mashed potatoes, asparagus and mushrooms were delicious. My bf is not a fan of mushrooms and he liked the mushrooms here. Service was great. Highly recommend.

A friend recommended Meat on Ocean for my husband’s surprise birthday lunch. We had a party of 12. Fantastic place! The front of the restaurant is all open so you have a view and the nice ocean breeze. Service was impeccable (entire staff was top-notch) food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommended.

Was extremely disappointed with this dining experience. My wife and I split a porterhouse steak. Rather than cut away the fat, they kept in on the steak to likely boost the size of the steak (which was supposed to be 28 oz. prime piece of meat). The reality was there was little meat on the steak. Then the restaurant decided to brush butter and garlic on the steak "to add to the flavor", done without asking us of we would like the addition. A truly good piece of meat would not require a brushing of anything to bring out the flavor. The shrimps on the cocktail were tasteless. The restaurant likely stays in business with a large tourist crowd and doesn't depend on return business. Save yourself the aggravation and dine elsewhere for a good steak dinner.

Great dining experience! Our first time here. It’s a can’t miss restaurant ❤️ Steaks are well presented and delicious (even the char was tasty! Great for a romantic outing or a festive occasion! Service was 5⭐️ Like Arnold says “I’ll be Back”
