Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

Bring in the New Year at Meat on Ocean in Santa Monica! This New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, 2024, enjoy a four course prix fixe menu with Guest favorites and chef-inspired creations, plus a champagne toast at midnight to bring in the New Year. An additional wine pairing enhancement will be available. The complete New Year’s Eve menu will be shared leading up to holiday. Please note that only the prix fixe menu will be available for New Year’s Eve dinner, starting at 3:00 p.m.

An epic steakhouse with a wonderful staff, fantastic menu and outstanding atmosphere. Ocean view tops it all off nicely. Have been wanting to go here for a while and found a good excuse to gather a bunch of friends for lunch - a perfect venue for a lively, comfortable social gathering - food was absolutely delicious and bar cocktails are unique and satisfying. I think I speak for our group when I say I can't wait to come back soon.

Five stars for the food and our server. Unfortunately, our entire table was very STICKY and dirty. Things actually stuck to the table. We covered the entire table with our napkins. The server apologized. Other servers working next to our table were cussing and complaining about their customers! They were very rude and unprofessional.

Fourth consecutive Christmas Eve dinner with family. Warm ambiance, staff, and overall great experience. Food is consistently good with outstanding service.

The king crab was amazing. The Snake River steak was very good but the king crab was so much better.

Great experience. The restaurant was a 5 minute walk from the Santa Monica Pier where we attended the Cirque du soleil show. We had reservations and we were seated promptly. The steaks were delicious and cooked to perfection. The service and food were great. Definitely will be back.

So my previous dinner was very good, this lunch wasn’t. A handful of people in the restaurant so not quite sure why our order took so long. Then my chicken that was added to my salad was very dry and unseasoned. It was just ok. I may try again in the future but so many other options to choose from so we’ll see.

As always the food is the star here. From amazing charcuterie meats and cheeses to the best steaks you can find in the Los Angeles area. We had the pleasure of having an amazing waitress this time around for dinner, Kristen did a great job at being knowledgeable about the menu and always making sure we had what we needed. Also being very friendly and made the meal that much more enjoyable. Your food can be great but your staff and service will keep people coming in the doors! Thanks for another great dinning experience
