Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

Food was great. Obviously, a little pricey but that’s what you pay for great food. Waiter was very friendly and even charged my phone because it was about to die. Overall, very much worth the money spent.

Service was awful. It took more than 15 mins for us to be acknowledged after being seated and then another 10 mins to get water. Our waiter never came and took our order, the manager had to come take it for us. When the server did eventually come around, he forgot to bring my drink - a whiskey on the rocks. By the time I got my drink, it was significantly watered down so you could tell it had been sitting by the bar for awhile. I also put in the reservation notes that we were there celebrating a birthday (my 4 year old son) and that was never acknowledged. My son was very excited for us to sing Happy Birthday to him, but by the time we would have ordered dessert, we just wanted to get out of there after the awful service. We ended up going for dessert elsewhere. We have been here several times, and this will probably be our last.

Such a wonderful experience. The food is so delicious and we really enjoyed our drinks as well. Our waitress so sweet and kind as well. I could eat here all the time!

We are regulars here and usually have a great time, but the steak was significantly undercooked on this occasion, and the house was not apologetic, did not do anything to make it right. Hopefully, we will have our usual wonderful experience next time!

We had an exceptional experience at Meat on Ocean. The 45 day aged bone in ribeye had the quality of a Japanese A5, the King Salmon was buttery and beautifully presented, service was excellent, highly recommend

Great restaurant with a good selection of steaks and other cuts. The food was excellent, the service was great but in our taste is is quite noisy. We like of course the no corkage fee.

Had a fabulous time celebrating a birthday. Tiffany, our server took amazing care of us as well as the manager Kevin. We will definitely be back.
