Meat On Ocean is a meat-centric, modern steakhouse in Santa Monica that offers both a sense of adventure and breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Beyond the offerings of a world-class steakhouse, Meat On Ocean features an artisanal charcuterie bar, an exhibition dry-aging room and a variety of prime beef – from dry-aged domestic cuts to Japanese A-5. Integral to the operation is a highly trained crew of servers and butchers, who communicate directly with Guests about the beef, organically farmed chickens, house made sausages, choice seafood and more.

Located on the corner of Ocean and Broadway, Meat On Ocean is steps from the action - including the Santa Monica Pier, shopping and hotels.

Starting May 2024, Meat On Ocean is also your headquarters for private dining and events, with customizable spaces that are perfect for social events, corporate meetings, birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, wedding receptions and ceremonies, with full audio/visual connectivity.

We’re hosting Thanksgiving this year at Meat on Ocean in Santa Monica. Reserve your table today and leave the details to us on Thursday, November 28. Our three-course Thanksgiving menu will be available all day, featuring your choice of starter (clam chowder or mixed organic greens), choice of entrée (roasted turkey or Nueske’s applewood smoked spiral ham, served with roasted garlic mashed potatoes, traditional cranberry sauce, homemade sourdough apple-celery stuffing and turkey gravy) and your choice of dessert (pumpkin cheesecake or old fashioned chocolate cake). Adults are $72 and children (under 12) are $26 per person. Our full menu will also be available all day.

Wow! That’s all I can think to start with - this was a great experience - outstanding service and the meal was perfection. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.

Enjoyed the fried tempura calamari, Caesar salad, and the 30 day porter house. Everything was so delicious! Definitely will go back for date night or special occasions.

Meat WAS my very favorite steakhouse. I recommend it all the time as the best steak in town. Last night was a DISASTER. The waiter and service won the WORST EVER award. We weren’t asked if we wanted ANYTHING…drink, food, etc for over 15 minutes. The restaurant was NOT busy. It was 6:30. We finally got a glass of wine after tagging him to give him the order. Then we were left completely alone for over 30 minutes. Again I needed to hail the waiter. We ordered and I said at the end of the order, we’d live some bread too. Oh, he says. We’re now charging for our bread. Fine I say. The bread comes 10 min. 1 plus hours later our steak hadn’t arrived. Thank gid we had a lot of talking to do. I asked if the order had been list. He went to check and came back saying it would be 10 minutes (medium rare steak order). It arrived in 15 minutes… lukewarm. No mashed potatoes. Had a suace we hadn’t ordered or been told about, and the tomato was so hard I couldn’t cut thru it!!! While waiting for our dinner, we ordered a second glass of wine which took a second time of flagging him down to remind him. The coup de gras was the bill……NINE DOLLARS for BREAD‼️. Are you kidding. Dinner took 2 1:2 hours. Still the best tasting steak BUT you lost a loyal patron.

From Kansas City, just off an 8 day island trip of fish. Checked this place out on the layover. It lives up to its name meat. Sunday night was not crowded but steak was tip top. I get snake river farms shipped to us monthly so I did not get that. I ordered the prime strip with the Pepper corn sauce and the chimichurri this sauce was the only thing we had that was not a 10. Wedge split with blue cheese and wife had a vinaigrette that was spot on. Whipped potatoes loaded with butter and cream nice touch. Meat cooked to perfection a must try. Nice atmosphere with patio view of the Santa Monica pier.

Great service and delicious food. Surf and turf was exceptional. My mom said her steak was cooked perfectly as well.

Great experience like always. Justin our server was great. No complaints. Get the dry-aged its worth it. You can get a filet or ribeye anywhere. Meat does dryage great.
