My wife and I came for our anniversary dinner and the food, service and ambience were exceptional. Their citrus twist on a gin/tonic was simply amazing! While we had an amazing unobstructed view of the sunset, we were seated in an area that people loitered while waiting for seats at the bar to open up. It was not horrible, but made our experience a little too noisy.

Terrance was INCREDIBLE and we had a lovely time!! This place is such an amazing experience - everyone should be blessed enough to dine here and feel the warmth of the staff and the flavors of the food. I desperately miss the Pimientos de Padron and would be remiss to not emphasize that we want the incredible Arbol de Caramelo back! The views were incredible. Food was great. A little pricey. Maybe slightly higher than anticipated for the portions, but still worth it at the end of the day. The service was a lot slower than usual at a place of this caliber. I normally appreciate it the slower place of nicer restaurants that allow you to enjoy your time, but this stretched a little long, particularly with drinks. Overall a good experience.

As always, the experience was incredible. The food is the best in all of GR and the service was superb as well. Can’t beat MDRD!

We did the reservation asking for a view, at the door we were greeted well and were taken to our table, it wasn't a view table as we requested and it was by the kitchen door so the traffic was annoying. I requested to be moved to a different table but we were told it was full, but I could see some tables looking at the view being empty for our whole stay so I don't get why we were told otherwise The food was good but my medium rare steak felt closer to medium compared to other ones I had, also it took and a questionable amount of time to get the food There were no non-alcoholic drinks either which is weird Based on reputation I expected more, an average overall

Overall I enjoyed my experience. The main entrees are overpriced and was just okay. The Tapas was good.

The experience was fantastic. The view was beautiful and watching the sunset made the evening more special. For $50 to have the table we had, I wouldn’t consider that worth it when the table right behind us could also experience the sunset for free. Non alcoholic beers are overpriced. $330 for a dinner in Grand Rapids is a little steep, but we were celebrating a birthday so the splurge made more sense. The menu isn’t that big, so you know the menu is all going to be great. The octopus is key to try, and it was worth it! The ceviche was my favorite, and the desserts are complex and fun to try! I recommend the lemon dessert if nothing else the pictures are incredible! I don’t know that we will be back until the menu changes for more things to try.
