Situé à McMenamins Anderson School, le Tavern on the Square est ouvert tous les jours pour le déjeuner, le dîner, le souper et plus tard encore. Le café de style nord-est confortable et raffiné est idéal pour organiser des rencontres et savourer des spécialités maison, comme des brioches et des desserts. Looking to host a birthday, anniversary, holiday, corporate, or celebratory event at Tavern on the Square? The Erma Olin room is the perfect destination for any type of gathering for groups ranging anywhere between 12-20 people. We have limited availability in our dining room for parties larger than 5. Please note that these often book up far in advance. Large party reservation slots are available prior to 5:30pm and after 7:30pm. We have greater availability for large party reservations Sunday through Thursday so please let us know if alternate dates would suffice.

The ambiance is charming, a little dusty in the rafters, but the fireplaces and courtyard are very relaxing. Unfortunately, I cannot review the food because we never got any. We ordered for our small child and fortunately her food arrived in a timely manner. We ordered a bit later and waited about 30 minutes for ours. Our server came back to let us know that there was a problem with the computer and our order didn’t go through to the kitchen but it would be out soon as the kitchen was rushing it out. 30 minutes later still no food and our server avoided our table while we waited. We had no water refills or communication about our order. Considering the time - we waited over an hour with no food - we had to leave. No one apologized and my husband was scolded for bringing our child near the bar while we he was searching for someone to help us pay for the food and coffee we did receive. Mistakes happen, and maybe they were understaffed, I don’t know, but to leave people waiting and not fix the error or communicate is disappointing, to say the least. There were so many ways this could have been handled that would have left us feeling empathetic, but this wasn’t one of them. We won’t be going back.

The servers are fantastic. The food is almost always slow and in the last year the quality of the food has gone down. The menu and presentation needs an update. It seems like Applebee's quality at an upscale price. I love the vibe there but we rarely eat more than an app anymore.

Service was poor--table not cleared between courses. Requested items not supplied-straw, silverware, water. Food was okay but not special.

Everything was wonderful. We did want to sit outside but the smoke from the fire pits was overwhelming. The prices were a bit high for what you got, but not too far out of line with eating out now.

First time here, and it was 10:30 in the morning. So everything was fine and service was excellent as there was only one other customer. The outdoor garden was amazing, and lots of windows to let in the green filtered light. The biscuits and gravy were really good.

We enjoy sitting outside at McMenamins. Thank goodness the outside tables were available because inside was very cold. Nice food. Vegetable pasta with prawns. Asparagus was undercooked and chewy but prawns were tasty. The outside music was too loud and not conducive to conversation. Piano jazz would better.

Service was very slow. Food was good. I expected more of the traditional McMenamins food and was disappointed in choices.
