Very disappointed with the service we received during what was supposed to be a special occasion for our 50th anniversary dinner. We specifically selected the 3-course anniversary menu, only to find out—without prior notice—that the sides accompanying our entrée were unavailable. When we raised this concern with the manager, all we received was a simple 'sorry about that,' without any offer of compensation or attempt to rectify the situation. It wasn't until we asked that our beverages were comped, which was the bare minimum considering the circumstances. This experience did not meet our expectations, and we were left feeling undervalued as customers on such an important day.

The food was delicious and fresh, but the music didn’t fit the ambience of the restaurant. The wagyu and lobster bisque were amazing!

We had 2 different experiences. 1. went to the bar for a couple drinks before we sat. Ambiance was great, bartender was attentive, knew how to make a good balanced drink, garnished great and it was awesome. 2. Dinner itself. Ambiance was nice. felt a little dated, but still completely enjoyable. Dinner was less than desirable, server was ok. The pre fixed meal options were good and the price was more than reasonable, so no issues there. My wife got the stuffed halibut, she didn't like it at all. 12 minutes past before the server came back to check in, and by the time he came back, it was really too late for her to order something else, but more so he just took away the plate and didn't ask if there was anything else she wanted. However, he did remove the charge for the protein (meaning pre-fixed, she was charged for the salad and desert but not charged for the fish). Desert was interesting as both were cold. I got an upside down apple pie, which is literally what it was. A slice of pie served upside down.. not oozing.. just a solid ice cold apple pie chunk flipped upside down with caramel sauce. My wife's creme brule was cold too. Almost like it was microwaved for a second before crusting the sugar top, or the only warmth it got was from the torch. Wasn't iced cold like the pie but not just microwaved enough warm cool. So overall, not bad, not good, but walking distance from my hotel made it convenient so that helps.

Food was great. Service started out well, but got very slow as evening went on. Our waiter seemed overwhelmed and every time we saw him he was speeding past our table. We were going to order desert, but decided to just get the check since we weren't sure how long it would take for our waiter to get desert to us. Still a good overall experience though.

I ate several times in M&S in Anchorage. Fantastic experience. This is just a cardboard cut out. Not the same.

Terrible experience. No host to great you so we had to flag down a server. We decided to eat at a bar table and we were told to seat ourselves. The server for that area came out with a tray of food for a table in that area and said “great, it’s been empty in here all night and now it gets busy”. We had an 8:30pm reservation. And it was not a positive statement. We told her we’d be happy to go to the dining room instead. She said no so we sat down at a table. Then we had to go find menus ourselves. When she re-emerged another table had to walk up to her and ask for condiments. At that point we left and went to Gibsons nearby. I used to eat here a lot on business trips. I won’t go back. Sad.

We had a wonderful evening. Joe was a fabulous waiter! He was very attentive. Our water was quickly replenished and our dinner was nicely paced. The M&S cocktail was good and not too sweet. We enjoyed a few dozen raw oysters. They were small, but very tasty! We split the Walnut Mixed Greens salad, which is plenty to share. Hubby had the special of Halibut and I enjoyed the Hawaiian Bigeye Ahi Tuna, which was perfectly cooked. We were surprised by a complimentary dessert for our anniversary. It was delicious!! Quiet, low-light, comfortable- and honestly well priced compared to other nice restaurants in the area. Highly recommend.
