Un des restaurants les plus réputés de Covent Garden, Maxwell's Bar & Grill a ouvert au début des années 1980 et marche encore fort. Réparti sur deux étages et jouissant d'un emplacement privilégié sur James Street au cœur de Covent Garden, Maxwell sert un menu de classiques de style américain testés et approuvés : des coupes de steaks de première qualité, des hamburgers, des « potato skins », « surf 'n' turf », du poisson frais et des salades légères. Le décor est un clin d'œil à nos amis d'outre-atlantique doté de boxes en cuir moelleux et d'enseignes au néon sur le mur. Le bar à cocktails de Maxwell est un véritable succès grâce aussi à ses barmans qui mélangent une multitude de cocktails classiques.

Very family friendly, we had two 4 year olds and a baby with us and both the staff and menu were very accommodating of this. Additionally they kindly gave us a table with extra space for the prams. Food was great with a really lovely atmosphere. A great option for friends or family catching up before the theatre.

We have been to the restaurant a few times, but this was by far the worst. The food was good but the service was poor at best. We were a table of 2 couples, 2 of which had never visited before. Myself and my wife received our starter in good time, but somehow our friends starters never turned up. We raised this issue with the waitress but it didnt turn up until we had finished our starter. We were then being served our main meal whilst our friends were finishing their starters, with our old plates still on the table!! Drinks that had been ordered were not turning up until we chased our order. Our onion rings were never served, but appeared on our bill!! We sat and watched other tables sending back what we presumed was incorrect food orders. We painted a fantastic picture of your restaurant to our friends, but this wasnt what we all encountered!

Very happy with the initial greeting and following service. Food as always good. Been going to Maxwells since they were in Hampstead, plenty of memories.

Love Maxwells, the food and cocktails are so good. We come every few months from the outskirts of London!

Upon looking through a list of restaurants, this one jumped out. From arrival to the time we left we were made to feel welcome. All staff, including the manager, were extremely nice and we had done great conversations during our time there. Our food was cooked very well, was hot and tasty. We will be back and we recommend this to our family and friends as well as anyone else who reads this review!

Violetta and Angelo our servers delivered the most excellent service, and Saffie made sure our night was extra special too. Great food and atmosphere as always! We’ll be back again soon.
