Un des restaurants les plus réputés de Covent Garden, Maxwell's Bar & Grill a ouvert au début des années 1980 et marche encore fort. Réparti sur deux étages et jouissant d'un emplacement privilégié sur James Street au cœur de Covent Garden, Maxwell sert un menu de classiques de style américain testés et approuvés : des coupes de steaks de première qualité, des hamburgers, des « potato skins », « surf 'n' turf », du poisson frais et des salades légères. Le décor est un clin d'œil à nos amis d'outre-atlantique doté de boxes en cuir moelleux et d'enseignes au néon sur le mur. Le bar à cocktails de Maxwell est un véritable succès grâce aussi à ses barmans qui mélangent une multitude de cocktails classiques.

While the food was good the service was poor. The person who took our order didn't write anything down claiming they could remember it all. So you can guess what happens next. First one of the starters was wrong so that had to go back. So the rest of the table finished by the time this person got the correct starter. Then waited a age for the main which guess what only 3 meals came out one was forgotten. Again they then had to wait a age for that to be cooked and serviced. Another drink was ordered whicn never arrived but was on the bill at the end. I would suggest making sure the staff actually write down the orders so the correct items are served at the same time. So a meal which should've taken maybe just over a hour to have took over 2 hours due to the delays.

Fantasic food and service, was a real treat to have such a great time especially on a very busy Saturday night in the heart of Covent Garden

The main thing we love about Maxwells is the Freakshakes - which previously have been amazing. Sadly on this occasion (and also earlier in the week) of the three they had on the menu only one was available. When we visited in April there were 5 on the menu and they were all amazing and creative including the birthday cake one.

Excellent service with tasty food, the fries are 10/10. Only thing which was lacking was the fizzy drinks tasted slightly flat other than that we had a lovely lunch

The food was lovely! Really nice flavours and options to choose from. The only thing I would say was that the lemonade was a bit watery and didn’t have much flavour. The atmosphere was great and the decorous was really cool. Overall we have a very nice meal and experience at the restaurant. The staff were very friendly and caring.

Food was exceptional, Frickles were made up of a little too much bread and not enough pickle but otherwise everything was great. The atmosphere was fantastic with some great music playing throughout the evening. The staff were great, provided exactly the level of attention you want for a meal out, checking in at the right times with empty plates and glasses removed promptly and decent wait times between courses despite being very busy.

We had a lovely lunch. There were many many birthdays celebrated today. So noise was high. But we still enjoyed our lunch.

L’ambiance est superbe, les serveurs sont très accueillant et gentils, de très bons cocktails à des prix abordables. Super resto!!
