Un des restaurants les plus réputés de Covent Garden, Maxwell's Bar & Grill a ouvert au début des années 1980 et marche encore fort. Réparti sur deux étages et jouissant d'un emplacement privilégié sur James Street au cœur de Covent Garden, Maxwell sert un menu de classiques de style américain testés et approuvés : des coupes de steaks de première qualité, des hamburgers, des « potato skins », « surf 'n' turf », du poisson frais et des salades légères. Le décor est un clin d'œil à nos amis d'outre-atlantique doté de boxes en cuir moelleux et d'enseignes au néon sur le mur. Le bar à cocktails de Maxwell est un véritable succès grâce aussi à ses barmans qui mélangent une multitude de cocktails classiques.

Regularly dine in Maxwells when in town. Food always good & great value. Sadly, one particular member of staff was a let down this visit. Requested no tomatoes - not allergic but they give me a very bad stomach- delivered my plate with tomatoes in the sauce. When I highlighted that she’d given me tomatoes and my friend none (we had already started eating before we realised) she grabbed my plate and walked away. No apology, explanation or anything. By the time I got my correct meal (from a different member of staff) my friends had finished their meals so I had to eat alone. Service has always been good here hence keep revisiting but sadly this time wasn’t as good.

Great experience with a mixed age family group and fussy eaters! Great food choice and attentive waiter and waitress. Highly recommend.

Excellent staff. Everyone seemed to be very helpful and friendly. Very clean seating and toilets. Good prices for food and drink also a kids menu. Went in after a show with 4 year old on her birthday. Staff sang happy birthday with a sparkler in a fudge browny. Stones throw from centre of Covent Garden. Would definitely go again. Brilliant and thank you.

Took my six year old at 5:15pm midweek, post-theatre. It wasn’t busy, service and food were good. Food would have been even more appreciated had we not eaten so much popcorn during the show…

We had a great little time pre theatre. The kids meal is great value and I got the burger lunchtime deal for £15 inc a glass of wine! Only sad thing was that the milkshake machine wasn’t working and we were excited to try one at maxwells. That was the only negative. The staff were lovely and super accommodating. Also the best colouring activity pack :).

Sitting outside was pleasant, but service a little slow. Menu selection is reasonable and quality of the food was good.
