Un des restaurants les plus réputés de Covent Garden, Maxwell's Bar & Grill a ouvert au début des années 1980 et marche encore fort. Réparti sur deux étages et jouissant d'un emplacement privilégié sur James Street au cœur de Covent Garden, Maxwell sert un menu de classiques de style américain testés et approuvés : des coupes de steaks de première qualité, des hamburgers, des « potato skins », « surf 'n' turf », du poisson frais et des salades légères. Le décor est un clin d'œil à nos amis d'outre-atlantique doté de boxes en cuir moelleux et d'enseignes au néon sur le mur. Le bar à cocktails de Maxwell est un véritable succès grâce aussi à ses barmans qui mélangent une multitude de cocktails classiques.

If you pay by cash no change is given ! The food was greasy to much oil on my plate. I think a bit expensive for what they give you. Service was good checked a couple of times everything ok . We still enjoyed our time at maxwells as we were looked after pleasant team of staff.

Great Team were on the day we visited, nothing too much trouble, even though they were maxed out! Two good burgers and sides which were great.

Food is tasty, hot and great value for London. We were stuck on a tiny table for two near to the door for the kitchen. Annoying. There shouldn’t be a table there, really. Still, a great restaurant, overall.

The best place to eat in Covent Garden! Absolutely love the food and ambience at Maxwell’s. My friends and I came for lunch, 3 of us had Fajitas- including 2 GF and 1 burger. Everyone cleared their plates. We had cocktails and beers. Great drinks and food. Quick ordering and the food came out quickly and piping hot!

Children’s meal was large for seven year old. Would be nice to gave choice of cheaper meal without desert. The meal deal is expensive for a child and no drink included. Gluten free burger was ok, the bun was a bit like cake, very sweet. Service was good and still water on the table was a nice bonus. A shame we were seated at the top as frequent trips to the loo with young children was not good. I’m not a fan of service charge already added to the bill especially as more than 10% as I think it should be a choice.

Nice to find somewhere reasonable priced with good quality food in London. Waiter was very helpful in helping us with gluten free food. Nice touch was a jug of water when we arrived which was topped up without asking. Definitely would recommend this place for somewhere close to Covent Garden and lots of theatres.
