Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

D'après les éditeur·rices d'OpenTable : Ce bistrot français impressionne Mexico depuis plus de 11 ans. Dirigé par le chef Eduardo García, il propose un concept « de la ferme à la table » inspiré de son enfance. Le menu comprend des fruits de mer frais de Basse-Californie, des viandes et du gibier à plumes. Le tout est servi dans un cadre lumineux et spacieux géré par Gabriela López. La qualité et la fraîcheur des produits, ainsi que le caractère intimiste de l'établissement, en font un lieu de visite incontournable pour les gourmets.

Maximo is worth a visit. Make your reservations early. It’s a very comfortable environment- warm and friendly. Food was very good. Service great.

I think this place is a bit overhyped while the menu exemplifies complacency. The food was good, but it reads more as regular food for rich people than food for an occasion for regular people. My partner and I also sat for 30 minutes after asking for the check, so service wasn’t ideal either. It was very nice they gave us a half-pour of bubbly for our anniversary, but that didn’t fill enough gaps in a thoroughly lackluster experience

Top notch service and excellent food! My family all agreed this was our favorite meal while visiting Mexico City.

The food was outstanding. The bolognese pasta, onion with Cruffin and Caesar were standouts.

Pros: -The venue is beautiful and has great vibes -The presentation of each dish was well done, put a smile on my face and resulted in some great photos -They have a robust menu with plenty of food and drink options including digestives Cons: -Minimal service. The staff would never checkin on me, so I found myself constantly having to ask for things which made me feel annoying. It left me feeling a bit neglected. However, most of the staff was nice and friendly when we did interact -Long wait times. My lunch took about 3 hours. To be fair, I did order the prefix menu which consisted of 10 dishes. I often felt hungry between dishes because I had to wait over 3o minutes in some instances (each dish is tiny for context). -Overpriced. The food was good but I don't think it met the standard of other restaurants at that price point; similar cost to a Michelin restaurant in the U.S.

A pesar de hacer la reservación con más de un mes y medio de anticipación tuve que esperar 40 minutos para que me den mi mesa, el gerente en turno bastante grosero La comida muy buena

Put this at the top of your list! Food, ambiance and wine selection are amazing! If I had one last meal, it would be the corn. Absolutely will be back!
