Eight years ago, Maximo Bistrot started as a restaurant for the thinking and execution of dishes from a wide range of techniques with the best of local ingredients; a warmful place that communicated our love for food. After a long and heartwarming road at our current location, we thought for the need of moving. Our new home, located at Alvaro Obregon 65 bis - a much wider space where gleams of natural light shine upon the surface-, is carefully assembled by Gabriela's meticulous look, and a kitchen built within Eduardo García's early memories, while living as an inmigrant in a barn in Ohio. Despite this big change, our principles initially founded remain the same: to offer food that distinguishes the best of local products.

    After two weeks in Mexico my partner and I chose Maximo to round off the trip and it did not disappoint. From the delightful food to the impeccable service to the great ambience and design of the restaurant space (including a view into the kitchen when you enter), this was genuinely one of the most delightful meals we’ve had in 2024. We loved every dish - the roasted beets, the Caesar salad, the fried chicken, the mushrooms with chicken jus, the red snapper and the oxtail tagliatelle. Finishing off the meal with the madeleines was a treat. Great cocktails - we had the paloma and the verbena sour, and then a great glass of Pinot noir. Thank you so much for such a wonderful meal.

    The food was very good but I was expecting so much more. For the fame this place has I imagined the food was going to be outstanding. We did enjoy everything, though every plate that came was missing a little salt. The butternut squash raviolis were yummy. And what I found was REALLY outstanding was the cheesecake and the berry sorbet. 10/10 Service was very good. The ambiance is a little loud but not so loud that you can’t talk or hear one another. I loved the candles everywhere.

    El servicio en el restaurante es impecable, la comida suprema. Gracias por todas las atenciones. Sugiero que el valet parking tenga la opción de facturar el servicio, acudimos por comida de negocio y el comprobante que emiten no tiene ninguna validez fiscal.

    Como siempre la comida es excelente. Pero el servicio siempre anda un poco des coordinado. Además había comentado que estábamos por la celebración de cumpleaños de mi esposo y nos dimos cuenta que los de lado le trajeron un postre con su vela y a nosotros nada. :(
