Amazing vibe when walking in, staff was so friendly and kind, the food was amazing, looking forward to going back soon!

We have dined here several times for special events and holidays and this is the first that the food didn't wow us. Most of it was under seasoned and flat. Not what I expect on a $500 bill.

Food, wine and service were all high level. The menu is diverse and the daily specials added to the wide selection of choices.

My fish was not cooked ( swordfish) so it had to go back to finish cooking. In the meantime, the rest of the table had to eat. By the time they were done, my dish came back. I understand that this happens. The manager apologized, as did the waiter even though it wasn’t his fault, but I would have expected him to send a dessert or drink to us on the house. It was disappointing considering the price.

We went for the special wine/steak dinner. Everything was good except I believe the mashed potatoes were instant potatoes which was very surprising. I would not have expected that from A Max group restaurant. The steak and Brussel sprouts were good. We had ahi tuna app and cocktails before dinner which were also good. Wait staff was excellent. Suggestion- real potatoes!

We had a table of 12 and all really enjoyed the food and the ambiance. We did however wait almost 90 minutes for our food, which caused us all to miss the beginning of the game we were in Hartford to watch.
