Wonderful meal celebrating my husband's birthday. Our server, Abel went above and beyond and the food was amazing. Max Downtown never disappoints which make this our favorite restaurant.

Wonderful restaurant! Amazing food and service. It was my son’s birthday and they surprised him with a nice dessert. The portions were satisfying and the side dishes were quite delicious. Will come back for sure.

Max Downtown is clearly one of the best restaurants in the Hartford area. Perhaps the best, overall. My wife and I spend each of our birthday dinners here. Just the best for service, comfort and food. Never disappoints. Last night we both ordered crabcakes as appetizers and scallops for the main course. Perfectly cooked and presented. Excellent server, as usual. Parking was a breeze. Delightful evening, as always.

Fabulous from the moment we walked in. The service, the wine list, the food and ambiance were all top notch! Will definitely return next time I am in Hartford!
