Food was great and reasonably priced. Service was a little slow but the server was super nice. We will definitely be back.

The service was slow but we weren’t in a hurry. The food was mediocre. All in all kinda disappointing. The renovations are very nice. Hopefully they will work the kinks out. Will try again in a few months.

Our experience at Mavis was very pleasant. Our server was very friendly and learning the ropes of being a restaurant server. The salmon patty and chicken paprikash were very good! The reuben and corned beef sandwiches were excellent.

Lively place need to give some time to iron out the kinks….. wanted to have a drink waited for server then proceeded outside bar no bartender. Restrooms not attended to.

We arrived at Mavis Public House, took a look at the patio and saw that there were many open tables. Since we had made a reservation, we asked if we could be seated on the patio. The host informed us "there is a wait list for the patio". When we mentioned that we saw many open tables out there, he did seat us outside. My husband and I asked our server if a full Caesar salad would be enough to split as our first course. She assured us that it would be enough. When the $11.00 salad came out, it was very small, and almost entirely crunchy core. 1/3 of the large salad bowl was taken up by a bowl of caesar dressing. We asked if we could have a bit more lettuce, as this was not $11.00 worth of salad. A few minutes later, our server returned with a small "pub salad". Unbeknownst to us, she added $5.00 to our bill, claiming we had ordered a side salad, which we did not. My husband ordered the buffalo mac & cheese, requesting the crunchy onion topping on the side. His meal arrived without the onion topping at all. I ordered a "zoodles" tomato and spinach pasta, and added chicken (a menu option). I asked the server if I could have pesto cream sauce instead of the marinara. She said she would check with the kitchen and let me know. My meal arrived with the pesto cream sauce, zoodles, and the added chicken. There were no tomatoes or spinach. When I let our server know this, instead of simply bringing out sautéed spinach and tomatoes, she decided to go to her manager. By then my food was ice cold. Spinach and tomatoes arrived 20 min later. We also asked for some Parmesan cheese to be brought out (a common request for a pasta order) as the sauce was very bland. The server brought out the Parmesan cheese, and added $1.00 onto our bill - again without informing us that there would be an extra charge. The manager did take my meal off the bill, but refused to take off the pub salad, and the $1.00 charge for the cheese.

Our waitress was very good. All our meals were good. The fish and chips and salome were very good. We ordered onion rings for an appetizer and they were nice and crispy and came with a good dipping sauce.

Second time at Mavis. Food and service excellent. First time chicken paprikas second time fish fry. We will be back.

A nice place for a casual dinner. The food was very good. I had the Zoodles and it was delicious. My hubby had fish and chip. He enjoyed it, though the Cole slaw was bland. Our waitress was Sydnie and she was fun and attentive.

Outside patio with bar and fireplace is awesome. Salads were great, service was excellent. Fun environment. Will definitely be back

What a great new restaurant in Solon! Service was great even though they just opened. Management was present and helpful to staff and customers. Loved it! Can’t wait to try their lunch menu … their happy hour was awesome. We will be back and recommend 100%
