Mauka Makai is a culinary experience celebrating the farming and fishing culture of ancient Hawai"i. Ancient Hawaiians drew their sustenance-physical and spiritual- from the land and sea around them. Seafood provided the primary protein in the Hawaiian diet, complementing staples such as taro, sweet potato and breadfruit. This sets the stage for Mauka Makai - toward the mountain, toward the ocean.

Very nice view of sunset and good live music. A bit pricey but it is on a resort. Food was very tasty

It was prime rib night, they ran out and we were 1 of the 1st 10 guests. We had to eat what we were given, and it was not what we ordered. It was my friends birthday but our meals were served and eaten separately. The manager comped us the meal. But it was as certainly a memorable birthday for my friend. The waiter had a complete disinterest in the guests, like he was having a bad day and should have called in sick. It’s like he was spending our money in his head before we spent our money on our dinner. Everyone but him were exceptional in service and personality

Fantastic setting attentive friendly service and excellent food. Highly recommended the scallop risotto and a surprisingly delicious rib eye.

So happy this restaurants opened for dinner! It’s a lovely spot for delicious and fresh food on the resort or for anyone who wants a beautiful dinner in a lovely spot. Shout out to the service! Ahi and vegetable curry highly recommended. Catch of the day was Ono and was grilled perfectly

Our server was so lovely and really made the evening thank you! Views are stunning and Kate when the sun went down there was a cosy fire pit . Would def go back

Everything was wonderful, food, service, location, EXCEPT the lighting was horribly bright with spotlights shining down on every table. They need to invest in some dimmer switches!

Great food at this resort. Curry shrimp was soon good. My wife had the bundle chocolate cake w/ice cream. It did not disappoint.
