The food and service were outstanding. The music was too loud to easily carry on a couple’s conversation. The wine list is very, very expensive.

Matthew’s Steakhouse is a terrific meal that they are not shy about. Very expensive, 22% tip for parties of 5 or more AND a 3% credit card fee AND a $25 per person cancellation fee. They really need to review these unfriendly dining policies. That being said - best meal on the West side of Orlando. Steaks, lamb, risotto, mussels, bread service, cheese board, all excellent. As good as other Sand Lake and Winter Park steakhouses. Closest comparable meal and venue is 15 miles away. We’ll save up and come back again soon. If it priced appropriately, we’d be there weekly.

Best steakhouse I’ve been to in years! Between the perfectly cooked steaks, the delicious accompaniments and the great service, the value of this meal was phenomenal.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary at this restaurant on a Thursday night. The two owners are husband and wife - both were very pleasant. This was our first time to dine at this restaurant and the food was great. Here are some areas for improvement: 1. For special events, the restaurant should provide a small, sample dessert with a candle at the end of the meal. This is what we have experienced at all the other fine-dining restaurants except for this one. Instead, they gave us an index card that said: "Happy Anniversary". 2. We had a gift card to pay for most of the meal. They have a policy of charging 3% for using a credit card. This policy is fine except they charged us the credit card fee on the gift card portion as well. Service was excellent. I hope they take my suggestions to earn an outstanding score next time.
