We truly enjoy Matteo. The service is always wonderful and we haven't had a bad meal yet. My steak was done to absolute perfection (which is hard to accomplish with my picky palate). My daughter had the pollo. We both had Panna cotta for dessert--a favorite. Delish!

Food was ok, bread service focaccia was mediocre (owner should go try focaccia at Central 9th Market in SLC to understand what I’m talking about) … we ate nothing out of this world, my wife’s pasta was undercooked, mine over, but flavors were generally good. $17 calamari appetizer was a tiny portion for price and sauce / squid was just ok. Veal was good, but hard to not be when fried and covered in cheese, accompanying rosemary potatoes were actually best thing I ate flavor wise. The panna cotta was delicious, but by no means a panna cotta with zero wobble. Ambiance and service was nice. I’d give it another chance.

Love Matteo's new location! Perfect for a special occasion, but the food warrants a visit anytime. Service is expediently provided and every member of the staff makes you feel like you're the most important guest.

I went to Mateo last year when I was on vacation in Salt Lake City and it was amazing . That’s why I decided to go back, but this time I was disappointed. The food , the service and the ambiance were not so good anymore. I ordered the lasagna which was ok , but they brought the Parmesan cheese that I requested when I was almost finished my meal. It was also very noisy, they moved to a different location. Last year the owner came to each table to greet the customers, but this year he was nowhere to be seen and service was not so good

Terrific new location. Matteo has created warmth and an awesome dining experience. Delicious authentic Italian food with an amazing wine list and excellent service from the entire staff!,

The food was divine, the reception was excellent, our waitress Max was very attentive and so nice... our family enjoyed a lot. Thank you guys

We really enjoyed our experience at Matteo’s. We arrived at 5 pm and were promptly seated for our reservation. We ordered a round of drinks at first, which were all delicious. We got a paper plane, a dirty Italian martini and two mocktails. For our appetizer, we ordered the polpette and burrata dishes. Both were fantastic. Our entrees were equally tasty. My friend and I shared the braised short rib special and the pacceri alla vodka. I’ll be dreaming of this food for the foreseeable future.

Our server, Craig, was fantastic! Also enjoyed the hosts as well. Everyone made me feel welcomed.
