Generally a great brunch spot with good food. The dishes are always creative. And the main server helping people outside on weekends is always fantastic. One of the hosts is also helpful. … but the other woman that seems to be a hostess is awful and seems to hate every person that walks in. She scoffs at every question, rolls her eyes constantly, and makes your attendance at this restaurant seem like a huge hassle. It’s the weirdest thing we’ve ever seen!! She is so grumpy every time we go. If it wasn’t for this woman we’d probably go more regularly.

French Toast is terrific and the St Germain Spritz is the perfect breakfast cocktail.

We celebrated our son’s birthday there and everything was wonderful. It was not packed on a Monday evening, great main and kids menu and very reasonable prices. We enjoyed the food and service thoroughly.

The aesthetic and atmosphere was wonderful the food was a 10/10 i had chicken and waffles, the steak eggs and potatoes , and the French toast everything was every bit of amazing. I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great vibe. Customer service was even wonderful thank’s to our server Dougie 🥰🥰

My husband and I made reservations for a Saturday night at Matt & Tony's as we were traveling up from Williamsburg to see a concert in DC and wanted to have dinner beforehand. I had read the reviews previous to our visit and was not disappointed!! The food was Wonderful & Flavorful!!!! We ordered the rye bread as an appetizer -incredible! Everything was great including our waitress and all staff we were in contact with. We would definitely go back to Old Town Alexandria to visit and eat at Matt & Tony's.

The menu was very intriguing and made our decision hard, which was a good thing. We had the firecracker shrimp and the barbecue mac and cheese for starters. They were incredible! The portions were generous and hearty. For entrée, we had the shrimp and grits and the shrimp burger. Because we had difficulty deciding, our server, Chris helped us and was very knowledgeable about the menu and how the food was prepared. Tasting our food, Chris helped us make the right decision and we were very happy! I highly recommend this restaurant for date night or brunch outing.

Excellent service and delicious food always! Love the energetic vibe, rustic atmosphere, delicious food and superior service. This restaurant is consistently great. And, as of 9/9 they will be open on Mondays!

This was my first visit here. It’s a great place to meet up with out-of-town relatives! I and my DNA cousins sat inside. We had quick service selecting items from the brunch menu; the portions were moderate and “not too much!” I was pleasantly surprised with the moderate cost of the meals! I’ll come here again on my own for lunch during the week.
