A fantastic meal from start to finish. Lovely menu, stellar wine selections, some Norman cider BTG? Yes duh. Kind and friendly staff. We’ll remember this meal for a long time. 10/10

Thank you for a great night. Top ingredients and perfect execution. Bravo to everyone. Place is really nice and charming.. If I really had to find something to say.. probably would be the rock music selection played a bit loud for a quite Sunday night.. I It got better towards the end. guess it’s the neighboring Woodstock making us feel its energy..

Everything is excellent about this restaurant. It’s as good as it gets. The only negative thing that I can say about this restaurant is the portions are very small.

My wife and I went to Matilda for our anniversary, and the experience was fantastic. The staff was polite and friendly. The restaurant itself was decorated beautifully. The food was wonderful from start to finish. We had the confit tuna belly and the dauphine potatoes as starters. Both were great and had a good deal of complexity in flavor, especially the tuna. For our mains, we had the scallops and the Amish chicken. Both were perfect. The desserts, Matilda sundae and chocolate mousse, were also wonderful. Altogether, this translated into genuinely one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever shared.

Beautiful space, well appointed, hospitable environment. The team was both professional and welcoming. They were knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent descriptions about the menu items. As hotel quests we were offered sparkling wine to begin our meal, a gesture we greatly appreciated. We ordered a variety of selections from their menu and found each one to be exceptional. A few highlights were the dauphine potatoes, confit tuna belly, honey nut squash, Japanese eggplant, crescent duck, and Amish chicken. Throughout our travels through the Catskills Matilda was our most delicious meal! Stay at The Henson and dine at Matilda for a truly unforgettable experience.

Extremely good. They were kind enough to accommodate my toddler daughter as well. A must eat at if staying at the Henson or in the area. Beautiful dining room, solid hospitality and delicious food.

Matilda was so good that we ate there two of the three nights we were in the Catskills. The fact that we were staying at Then Henson made it very convenient. The food was wonderful; very interesting combinations that initially gave me some pause but were so tasty. Service was fabulous - attentive but not intrusive and we did not feel rushed at all which was great. Would highly recommend.

Great choice near Windham/Hunter. We skipped the meat portion of the menu and went for all the dishes based on local produce (around 4-5 of them). All of these were great and some were revelatory. 4-5 dishes with bread were perfect for two. Staff were very attentive. Great experience.
