    We had such an incredible meal and overall experience at Matilda. I’m already looking forward to our next visit. This is a must-go spot if you’re in the Catskills.

    This was our 3rd time dining at Matilda, and it has been an exceptional experience each time. The space is beautiful, service is excellent and the food is outstanding. Everything we ordered was delicious in both presentation and taste. We loved everything we ordered, especially the duck and chicken. We look forward to returning soon

    Didn’t care for the pairing of unusual ingredients. Had the smoked trout which was too fatty and not compatible with the thick nori sauce. Salads were ok but there too the vegetable flavors were overpowered a soup-like dressing. Only place in the area where a credit card was needed to secure a reservation and on this week night the place was empty.

    Gourmet excellence! The food is small, tasteful portions with very unique ingredients. I can say, that I’ve never had dishes prepared like this that are so exquisitely singular! We’ve been half a dozen times now and each time was a culinary delight!

    From start to finish, it was one of the most memorable dining experiences. Greg, our server was top notch. Daniel, the manager, made sure everything ran smoothly. Kathleen, the bartender was an expert at her craft. The chef’s creations were sublime. The only knock is that there was a lone diner who decided that it was an appropriate place to enjoy her experience there while on speaker phone the entire time. But that’s on the guest, not the restaurant. This place is worth the visit from wherever you are.

    Great ambiance and vibe. Some dishes were great, some were mediocre at best (tuna tartare). Steak knives were dull. Wine list was exceptional and fun. Small things they need to iron out as a new restaurant but would like to check back in next year
