Just a few steps outside of Wiehle-Reston East metro station on the Silver Line, you’ll find matchbox Reston Station welcoming you in for great food, refreshing drinks, and an energetic vibe. Situated in the iconic Google building designed by Helmut Jahn and surrounded by businesses and luxury apartments, matchbox is a place for you to take a break from work, catch up with friends, or enjoy time with family.

All are welcome to gather and join our community. Come and enjoy our 3.6.9 mini burgers, blazing hot pizzas, or any one of our chef-crafted dishes. We have something for everyone. Our casual, warm ambiance and friendly staff will make matchbox feel like your home away from home.

There is a charge for additional pizza toppings.

The restaurant was empty which was confusing because our waitress wasn’t super attentive. The mini burgers are our go to but they seemed a little neglected.

I honestly don’t know why anybody would go there to eat. Our food was lukewarm when we received it and the breakfast potatoes look like they were cooked a week ago. My husband ordered eggs over easy and they were well done. The ambience I labeled as energetic because of the constant blaring of a fire alarm which they told us to ignore. I don’t appreciate people who write negative reviews and don’t bother to complain at the time. My answer to this is I just won’t go back.

We visited for the first time, arriving well before the usual rush. Although service was initially slow, the team promptly remedied the wait with a complimentary appetizer—a nice touch. Once it arrived, the pizza was genuinely good, and we left feeling welcomed and satisfied.

I’ve dined at Matchbox multiple times, but yesterday’s experience was subpar. I waited over 45 minutes for my food to arrive. It’s was nothing complicated at all and it was not many people in the bar area (kinda slow). The server was kind and pleasant despite the delay. She was also very apologetic. By the time I finally received my food, I had lost my appetite. It may be awhile before I dine at this location again.

The salmon fillet was heavily salted and the entrees took an hour and ten minutes to be served and that was serving them is a first out fashion

Overpriced wine, house wine at $22 glass seemed a bit much. Horrible service at 6:30 pm Saturday night. Barely saw the server, Host told me to go on back to table 24, to which I replied what is table 24? Seemed like a very off night at best.
