Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not very busy. The food was fine once it finally arrived but it took a very long time to get it. Server was slow to offer water and to take our order. Food was very slow to come out. Server never asked if we wanted more to drink.

My entire response was based upon the level of service and attitude of some staff. It’s been some time since I experienced this level of incompetence, hostility , and lack of understanding of even the basics of customer service.. Example: after waiting 25 minutes for our beverage order, I went looking for our waitress who told me that she had done her job by giving order to bar tenders and that making drinks takes time. Fair enough. However , our drinks were 2 cans of soda and a white wine. After reminding her of that-probably I admit with a bit of sarcasm- everything went downhill from there. My only satisfaction was I paid in cash and left a .32 cent tip. A little annoyed that I didn’t have exact change!

Service was extremely slow and we were swatting flies and mosquitoes the whole time. Indoors. Service has been really slow and bad the past couple times I’ve been. The kids food came out 20 mins before our food. so of course they were finished eating and bored by time our food came so our experience wasn’t enjoyable while you eating. Don’t know when or if I’ll return

The restaurant should be renovated- but the manager was doing a great job and working hard. The hostess said it was going to be a 45 min wait when we showed up as walk ins. Then when we made a reservation through open table - she served us in 10 min. That was odd. Pizza was decent though.

Having been to Matchbox in the past, I knew basically what to expect, however it had been several years since our last visit, and I wasn't sure if quality would have suffered during that time and luckily it was even better than I'd remembered. The restaurant was not crowded when we arrived, and we were seated in a booth across from the bar. A few other tables had come in after us and were greeted before us which we found odd but eventually the bartender who we'd seen mixing drinks came over to our table and stated he'd be our waiter. He'd looked at us several times, and the only comment I have regarding his service is he should have simply said he'd be with us in a moment, otherwise he was quick to serve us. My husband and I both had a ten-inch pizza which was delicious. I had pepperoni and mushrooms, and my husband had the meat lovers. The ingredients were fresh and appropriately portioned. The atmosphere is casual and clean, and the music was great as it seemed to be a mix of 80's hits. My husband was warm because the door was open, but I personally loved having the mix of air conditioning and fresh air coming in. There are a few outside tables, but because it was warm nobody was sitting there during our visit. The staff was friendly, welcoming and for the most part efficient. The manager was busy checking on tables, making sure the staff was taken care of and food was being delivered while hot. Not cheap by any means, but a pretty good value for the money.

We went for black restaurant and had an awesome time, the menu was good for the value and food was good.

My two kids and I waited around 5 minutes before someone sat us at our table. I had to go to the bar and ask the bartender if there was a host/hostess to seat us. There were several patrons at the bar and one person at the high table area. Our reservations was for 5:15pm. Matchbox has lost its flair over the years. The service has gone downhill. I had the same wait or before and this is the 2nd time he asked if I had cash tip. He said "if not thats ok". I've never been asked that at any restaurant.

Service was extremely slow. We come quite often after school. This was by far the longest time we’ve had to wait for food then the bill. The food also wasn’t on par quality wise. The pizzas were smaller than normal.
