The staff was terrific—truly wonderful people. The food was hit or miss. The drinks were good, but it took 20 minutes to receive them. Granted, it was Valentine's Day, but only two other couples were there when we ordered our drinks. The food was good; some dishes were better than others, but for the price, we expected more. They're good but overpriced for what you get. There are better sushi places in Portland and throughout Oregon, which cost 40% less.

The menu has changed which is exciting as we have been coming here for over a decade and enjoyed seeing the variety. However the soup came out cold, the mushrooms were previously dried so they were chewy, and the pork dish was bland. We enjoyed the calamari which is a favorite. The sushi has always been great but we're disappointed with the new dishes. I am not sure if there is new staff and that could be the reason. Also be aware of the draft from the windows. On cold days it can be felt and tables are right next to the windows.

Our waitress was amazing! We were celebrating someone's one year sobriety, and she made them feel like a rockstar for doing it! She was also prompt, polite and friendly!

Fantastic food and drink, great service, pretty and dimly lit which we like. Only complaint is the very small tables are kind of packed in but that’s most places these days.

Received another table’s check when seated at the only available seating, the bar counter, ended-up paying $600 for two people. Ate there several weeks before, ordered more then, food and service was amazing in the dining room and bill was $200 for two people. At the bar our food was frequently forgotten and had to be asked about dishes we ordered that never arrived.

One of the best places for high-quality fresh fish in Portland! Love the ambiance and low-key atmosphere, it's great for couples or large groups. Their staff is the best! Super knowledgeable, funny, lovely people.
