MASU IZAKAYA- is a contemporary Japanese restaurant in an izakaya setting with sushi bar. It focuses on using local and Japanese ingredients but using Japanese techniques, flavours and presentation. The restaurant celebrates shared dining experience from sushi, sashimi, to your favourite grilled dishes, tempura and with a wide selection of Japanese drinks such as sake, shochu, beers and whiskies. Japanese inspired cocktails and some local and Japanese craft beers are also showcased.

This restaurant is incredible!! The food is equivalent to anything you would expect from a high end restaurant! The best kept secret on the GC!

Overall a lovely experience. All staff members made us feel welcome and tended to our needs despite becoming quite busy towards the end of our meal. We ordered the set menu which included high quality food for a reasonable price. I would recommend this place to anyone!

Great food quality, but tiny tiny portions. I would call every dish just a taste. Definitely not filling. The size of the food was like what is on a sushi train plate, but on a huge porcelain plate and for quite a price. The worse part for me was the long wait between taste and taste of the many dishes we ordered. If you are not a big eater it's definitely worth it!

Although this establishment is expensive I still consider it to be the best Japanese on the Gold Coast. Worth every cent. It will become a regular treat for us going forward.
