    Our waiter did a great job. As always, the food was absolutely delicious. Never had a bad meal at mastros. Highly recommend

    First time at Mastro's; we typically go to Ruth's Chris, Morton's, LG's, etc. Pretty disappointing. They charge for bread, and with the exception of the pretzel rolls it wasn't great. They talk about their "sizzling steaks" in the menu and in the waiter's spiel about how it will come out on a 400 degree plate. Both of us had steaks that came out on warm plates that we could easily handle ourselves and the steaks were just warm, not hot. They were OK.....about the quality of a Texas Roadhouse steak at double the price. It was our anniversary, which we noted when making the reservation. We were served a slice of cheesecake on a "Happy Anniversary" plate which was nice until we got the bill and realized we were charged for it when we didn't ask for it and were never asked if we wanted another dessert instead since we were paying for it anyway. It was a discounted price, but I think it is weird to charge people for something they didn't ask for and didn't order. The service was OK, a little rushed and abrupt at times when we were there at 6:00pm and there were plenty of open tables. They had a live singer in the bar and it was pretty loud and permeated the rest of the restaurant to the point that we had a hard time hearing each other. One last thing: Their website features their "dress code" rules which I thought was unusual for a restaurant in 2024 where people pretty much want to wear what they want when they are paying a premium price, but whatever; my husband put on a collared shirt and shoes instead of sandals, etc. A big family came in during our dinner that were all wearing what was clearly "athletic clothing", (specifically indicated as a NO in their dress code) including tank tops and flip flops. Weird to have a dress code in the first place, but SUPER weird to have one front and center on your website and on Open Table but then don't enforce it. Overall, not a great experience and we will go back to our old favorites that don't disappoint.

    Guys music terrible, it’s crazy like from radio . Menu poor, onion soup at 110 degrees outside? Seriously? And nothing else , maybe gaspacho or something like that ?

    Food was great as always. Service was a bit slow as they had to tend to an obnoxious table next to us that were braking glasses and being super loud. Took 20 minutes to get a drink.

    A quick Palm Desert get away 8/24 for my 22nd wedding anniversary with dinner at Mastros with the bride was amazing! Brandons service was attentive, food was wonderful, cocktails on point. Thank you for such an very enjoyable evening! We will be back!!
