    food was not what we were expecting. not sure what mastro’s is known for, might be steak but we did not get a steak. sides were good but main entrees were not.

    This wasn't an experience i was really expecting from Mastros as im a Landry's Select member and im constantly at Del Friscos where I get top tier service back home so I just assumed they would be top tier here at Mastro's. That was definitely not the case whatsoever. First off they dont participate in the landry select club but that wasnt an issue but just letting everyone know that may not know that. First off we came in and was greeted first thing by the hostess ladies and they were great. Had a reservation for 7 and was sit actually before 7. We sat right down and thats when the non attention started. it took about 8 to 10 minutes to get menus by our soon to find out waitress Chelana. She spoke with us very quickly and asked us would we love some bread and we accepted of course. After that we didnt see her, bread or anything else for exactly 16 minutes. Was wondering what was going on even the table next to us was wondering why we weren't being helped. We eventually got our drinks probably about 10 mins after ordering then we ordered when she brought them back because at this its been 26 mins and we only seen her 2 times. After ordering we seen her maybe 2 more times as the runners brought the food and the bread. She checked on us one time then the second time she asked us did we want desert. That was it. After that the checked came with $40 gratuity added which if you ask me the runners deserved because we saw them more than her and $40 for not seeing my waitress is unacceptable if you ask me but we didn't cause a scene we just kept it cool and paid. We saw a tall white gentlemen walking around im pretty sure he was the manager in charge he was checking on people all night. He never checked in with us whatsoever but nothing against him he may have just overlooked us. So we left and told the ladies at the front desk what went down. Food was decent at best but my Mastros experience was unacceptable and im pretty sure i will not be back.

    Perfect dinner date spot. My favorite items on the menu are the bone marrow, dry aged steaks, and cocktails.

    Mastro’s used to be one of my favorite steakhouses in the city but last night was disappointing. I ordered a bone in filet and got it served in 2 pieces, one small piece attached to a bone and another separate filet.

    Me & my wife did not enjoy our food!!!! This was valentines day and it could have not been the worse day of our lives!! For our appetizer my wife order Rockefeller oysters, it came on a bed of sea salt but the sea salt rocks were actually in the oysters!! Which drove my wife’s blood pressure through the roof!!!! Secondly my wife ordered lamb chops & i ordered a porterhouse steak medium well, it came out WELL DONE!! BIG NO!! So my wife didn’t not want to send it back so we just dealt with it! We ordered the lobster mac & cheese, which was not pleasant at all!! The mac & cheese was not good at all!! It was not cheesy nor any lobster in it as well! It was almost hard like bread crumbs! The Brussels sprouts were brunt, with absolutely no bacon! Now to good part, our server STACY WAS AMAZING!!! The crab cake was really delicious! We both had lemon drops, & they were really great!! The lobster mash was amazing as well! Cream of spinach was perfect!!! We do appreciate the accommodations of our lateness do to snow storm! My wife’s been here several times & speaks very highly of this restaurant! But this being my first time was not a pleasurable experience for me on the other hand!! We will try this establishment again in the near future I HOPE! but i will give this 4/10
