    Outstanding in every respect. It’s a high end place with a high end price and expectations are high end. I was fully satisfied and can’t wait to return. Service was impeccable. Oysters outbid this world good. Sea Bass and bone in Filet magnificent.

    My wife and I ate at a high top in the bar, we like the music and crowd. Her filet and my bone in ribeye were perfect, medium rare. My side of cream spinach was served lukewarm and I returned it. I didn’t have it replaced although they offered. There was a problem in getting our two glasses of wine before our meal, the food came out way too quickly even though we had requested a slow delivery of our meal. One of the managers came by and finally got our wines. My wife had finished her steak and I was half finished. By this time. A different server, Mike took over and things returned to a great experience, we received a free butter cake and credit for the two wines and Mike gave us two green tea shots on him after we had paid our bill. They messed up with communication but recovered beautifully. It turned out to be a great experience.

    We are grateful to Mastro’s for being open on Christmas Day as we all enjoyed a wonderful dinner and had an excellent holiday celebration! First off, thanks to the front desk hostess for accommodating my husband’s request to be seated in the DR. That’s where all the action was! The place was so lively and fun! Secondly, thanks to Daniel - our server - for the detailed and exceptional service! In fact, I asked my two boys for a word to describe their evening at Mastro’s and they both said “Daniel!” My oldest has a dairy allergy and Daniel was so attentive checking everything to ensure he could eat it without any reaction. Lastly, our Manhattan cocktail was excellent and generous; our sons’ Roy Roger (mocktails) was a big hit as well and we thoroughly enjoyed our steaks, sides & dessert.

    I love this place and treat my family every Christmas but the past 3 years we have been dissatisfied with the service. Our waiters have no personality, they vary rarely come by our table, zero small talk, no ambition to make it a great experience. I know these waiters must make great money and these jobs are hard to come by but you would never know it. The tip here is just a given not really earned. The bussers are more friendly. Hopefully next year we get treated like cared for patrons

    Our Christmas dinner at Mastro's was, unfortunately, a letdown. My husband ordered a 2015 vintage premium Bordeaux wine for me, which we were told the manager would personally pour. However, after everyone else in our party was served, I was left waiting for my wine. When the manager finally arrived, he poured the wine without offering a sample, which is standard for premium wines. To make matters worse, my husband noticed that the vintage year was different from what we had ordered. When he pointed this out, the manager winked and poured more wine instead of addressing the issue directly. We decided to send it back and order a different wine, but the same lack of attention to detail occurred—no opportunity to sample, and a significant wait of nearly 20 minutes for the glass. We hoped the food would redeem the evening, but it did not. We ordered Kobe beef, and it was not cooked to our specifications. By this point, we were too frustrated to address the issues further and decided to finish our meal and leave. The overall service and attention to detail were severely lacking. For the premium pricing, we expected a much higher standard. Mastro's, once a hallmark of fine dining, feels like it is devolving into a large-scale franchise operation, prioritizing turnover over quality and experience. In a city like Scottsdale, where there are numerous excellent steakhouses, there are far better options for exceptional food and service.

    I have been to Maestros many times but not this particular location. It was very busy but our server did not recommend have the sauce on our steak & crab on the side. So we were not given a hot plate. Our steaks were lukewarm warm and by the time our server recommended send them back to the kitchen so much time had past we were not interested. Also it clearly states when you walk in the restaurant what the dress code is. That was not enforced at all. Baseball caps, midriffs , athletes wear were everywhere that evening. All in all a disappointing evening.

    The food was absolutely fantastic! The service was wonderful and has a very high class feel. It is a little weird how dark it is in there though, like really really dark even in the daytime. The only thing I would change is that the servers were wearing so much cologne that you could almost taste it. We will definitely be back!
