Please do not come to this restaurant if you want good food. The food is absolutely horrible and overpriced. The only reason this restaurant is doing well is due to the view.

I must admit I read reviews before choosing a reservation at this restaurant. Expecting the food to be mediocre and expensive and the view to be spectacular, I chose this place anyway to celebrate our anniversary. We ordered the Pinot Noir as per the suggestion of Mathew our server (we generally enjoy the heavier, full bodied reds). Much to our surprise it paired beautifully with our dining selections. The garlic bread had plenty of flavor and topped with plenty of oil/buttery goodness and herbs. It went well with the perfectly seasoned tomato/red bell pepper soup. The soup could’ve been a little bit warmer, but the presentation was beautiful. I chose a garden salad as my entrée since I fill up faster than my husband. The dressing was light and appreciative with flavor. Could’ve used a few more chunks of cheese and yummy roasted grapes. The roasted lamb chops were outstanding. Perfectly seasoned and tender. Mathew was attentive and gracious. Overall wonderful experience. And oh, the view was really nice too.

When we booked we requested a window table. We you told that the window tables required an addition fee of $25 to paid at time of booking. The website does not say anything about it!!!

After getting a reservation on open table we asked an employee earlier in the day about reserving a window seat for the falls . He told me that there was an experience tab I could use and for $25 I could get one . He then mentioned it should not be a problem as it was not one of there busy nights so I didn’t do the extra $25 . Come time for our reservation there were no window seats available which was pretty upsetting but I’ll take the blame for not going with the extra fee to make sure we had window seats . The wait for our main course as super long as I really think our order was forgotten and not placed as it was about 50 minutes from finishing our soup to getting our main course . Our waitress even came over and asked if we wanted to order dessert!!!! She hadn’t even realized that we didn’t get our main course which in itself was alarming. The food was great but not $200 great as it was for 2 of us and only 1 drink each along with ordering bread , a tomato basil soup which both were phenomenal . The Main courses were really good .It’s worth the experience if you get a window seat as that’s what you’re mostly paying for in my opinion.

A little disappointed in the overall experience. After reading reviews and menus for the higher end restaurants in Niagara Falls we chose Massimo’s to celebrate our anniversary. We paid an extra $29 in advance for a window table, which was nice but views were good from all tables so it was probably unnecessary. We were asked on arrival if we were celebrating anything and advised the host that we were; however there was no further acknowledgement or complimentary dessert as others have mentioned. We enjoyed the calamari appetizer and gnocchi and rigatoni pastas but would have liked to been offered bread or rolls to accompany the pastas, especially at this price point. We shared the tiramisu which was good…just not complimentary! We would have enjoyed second glasses of wine/beer but were not checked on or offered another round of drinks or water so our glasses were empty halfway through the meal. Not a great value for $280. The best meal and service we had in the area was actually at the Niagara Culinary school restaurant- highly recommend that for foodies!

Welcome was very nice but at the end was very disappointing. We was given a window seat at very end of the restaurant. Very dark as others have said had to use phone torch to read menu! Food was certainly nothing special, if this is best Italian In Niagara it’s probably because it’s the only one. Clearly pay the price for the view. Before we had finished our evening the restaurant behind the curtain separating the two restaurants started vacuuming! Certainly won’t be rushing back.

Our waiter Matthew was amazing. The kitchen was slammed so food times were slower, but he kept checking on us, making sure there wasn't anything we needed while we waited, which made the dinner wait time way more tolerable!

Overall experience was alright. Food was slow to come out, wasn’t checked on enough or kept up to speed on what was happening and why it was taking so long, felt like we were kind of forgotten about while we were waiting.
