Massimo's has been a Fremont destination and landmark since opening in 1976. The name Massimo's is not only the middle name of our late founder but also means “great”. The food, service and atmosphere is the passion of owner Bill Rinetti Jr. We strive to create a cuisine that is fresh, seasonal and prepared with great care and also include some of our classical preparations including our Caesar Salad which is made in the dining room. The fare is American with bits of Italian influences. We have been featured on KQED "Check Please Bay Area".

Be sure to save room for one of Massimo's Flaming Desserts that have become one of our signature preparations.

Went here for a Valentine’s dinner, and my wife and I were very disappointed. The food tasted like it had been frozen and reheated. I ordered the short ribs, and they were tough and hard to eat.

Service was great but overall I was a bit disappointed overall as it wasn’t the great experience we’ve had at your establishment since 1984 (see private note).

We ordered the Filet Mignon medium rare and it was amazing, truly medium rare- one of the best-tasted vs. many other famous Bay Area steakhouse. The ambience was good, although we could hear other table’s conversation, but it did not bother us too much. Service team is well-trained, tender your need timely. We really enjoy our terrific dinner tonight.

The food presentation was awesome. The food was delicious. Our food server rocked. she was super friendly. Anybody else who came to our table to help was also friendly and professional. This place is definitely high-end. It is very pricey compared to the places I usually eat. This was a special occasion. I used to come here every month just about when I worked for my employer over 10 years ago. And I had the same experience every single time. You definitely get what you pay for. I would definitely recommend.

The waiter couldn't have been nicer. I had their delicious seafood salad. The other guests were a little disappointed in their food.

I think it was a great experience overall because it’s a beautiful restaurant and the staff were extremely friendly. Maybe too busy. Our server David was great, but I think he had a lot of tables for just himself. Maybe 20-30 minutes for each dish which is a lot given what we ordered wasn’t necessarily made to order. Like the dessert Massimo mud pie. Overall, it’s a good spot to go, but I think they are probably better restaurants worth your time if you’re out of the area. Just not many in Fremont unfortunately.

Food, drinks and service was terrific. Was a bit loud however our table was in the bar area. Next time will note on reservations to not be seated in that area. Definitely will be a next time!

As always the service and atmosphere was very warm and welcoming. We had Spaghetti and crab which was delicious. As an appetizer we had the jumbo prawns which were very fresh and tasty. One of our favorite places for dinner.
