Le Massimo fait vivre une « trattoria » italienne excellente dans le quartier Federal Hill à Providence. On y offre un menu italien contemporain inspiré par les cuisines régionales de l'Italie. Had an early lunch to celebrate my friend‘s birthday. We were greeted immediately by the valet, and the car was taken care of- so nice not to try to have to find parking. We received a big hello when we entered the restaurant and they confirmed we were celebrating a birthday. They wished my friend a happy birthday and sat us at a table by the window. From there the lunch just got better. Service was spot on, food was delicious, and ambience were perfect

We had an incredible dining experience at Massimo in Federal Hill, opting for their Monday three-course prix fixe menu—and it did not disappoint! The variety of options made it hard to choose, but the standouts for us were the perfectly fried calamari, flavorful shrimp scampi, and a delightful cannoli filled with pistachios and chocolate chips. I paired my meal with a crisp prosecco, while my husband enjoyed a refreshing blackberry mocktail that he absolutely loved. From start to finish, the food and service were excellent. We’ll definitely be back!

The food was excellent. Loved menu with both standard southern Italian favorites and more sophisticated northern Italian cuisine. Service was excellent, waiter was knowledgeable, amicable and professional. One issue I had which is a game changer is that the tables were on top of each other. Practically eating with another family which is so uncomfortable and unenjoyable. They have a massive rustic table in the middle of restaurant used for decor and storage my recommendation would be to remove it and space out tables

We visited Massimo for a small get-together early in the evening, which may have contributed to the more casual feel of the upstairs dining area. The atmosphere was still comfortable, and our server was very friendly, with attentive and efficient service throughout the meal. The food was classic Italian—nothing too out-of-the-ordinary, but still enjoyable. Portion sizes varied. My father-in-law, unfamiliar with the Italian-heavy menu, managed to enjoy his salad despite it being a bit heavy on vinegar. The mussels appetizer was a hit, while the calamari, though perfectly fine, was a bit plain—about what you'd expect for calamari. The stuffed zucchini flowers were delicious, though a smaller portion. Our entrees—short rib gnocchi, sea scallops with butternut squash risotto, and lasagna—were well-prepared and flavorful, if standard. Dessert was the highlight, with the raspberry cheesecake, gelato, and cannoli standing out as exceptional. All in all, Massimo provided a nice dining experience with attentive service and a delightful dessert to end the evening.

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary at Massimos. The service was very good, our water glasses stayed filled, dirty dishes were cleared quickly, and we got extra bread and oil. The food was good. I had the orrichette with broccoli rabe pesto and sausage. It was a little peppery for me. My husband enjoyed his dinner. The tiramisu was very tasty.

This is an amazing restaurant. We come most visits to Providence. Our service was beyond poor tonight. The food was great as usual but the service detracted from the overall experience.
