We are located on the ground floor of Manchester Hall – the former Freemasons Hall – and you’ll notice a few nods to the building’s past in our interiors. Our team recreate classic bistro dishes using fresh local ingredients in a vibrant dining environment. Just as the Masons’ name references the building’s unique history, the food at Masons is the Best of British with a modern twist.

Very quiet. Lovely atmosphere. Service was a tad slow. Meals didn't feel complete as many were just a meat and a carbon side. Could have done with vegetables and sauce.

Graduation celebration When making the booking I was asked if the meal was to celebrate anything so I advised that we were there for graduation. Upon arrival the charming waiter congratulated my daughter and presented her with a complimentary glass of Prosecco. That set the service at a high level from the start which they maintained throughout the meal. The food and wine was excellent, the staff friendly and professional. We were well looked after and they delivered a top class experience throughout our visit. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. It’s lovely !

The food was excellent, just quite slow to come to the table and there were very few in the restaurant, but would definitely go back.

Beautiful restaurant in art deco style. We went for lunch. It was my first visit and I was really looking forward it. The service was excellent but alas the food did not meet my expectations. The olives and pickles from the nibbles section were fine but the i’d have expected the bread selection to have better quality fresh bread and certainly not a few slices of white bread. My son and his girlfriend both had the sea bass which was very small. I had the hand raised pork pie which was nothing special. The chips were also disappointing and too oily. The desserts were fine but lacked any wow factor especially for the price. All in all we had a lovely time but I was disappointed with the food especially as I had high hopes based on other reviews I had read.

This was the first time we'd visited Masons and we had a lovely time! As we visited early evening on a week night, it was quiet when we arrived (we were the only ones in the restaurant) but it got a bit busier later. The staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was lovely - arriving quickly. Overall, our first visit was excellent and we'll definitely be back again!

A wonderful experience for a special birthday. Sunday lunch was amazing. We were greeted with complementary bubbles and huge servings of delicious food. The staff could not have been more helpful and the whole dining experience was perfect. I shall definitely be recommending to other’s.
